Putting on that simple yellow dress paired with red Mary Jane shoes, styling my hair into standard twintails tied with red hairbands, and wearing that textured light blue choker. This photoshoot took place at the Beijing 798 Fan Content Festival because the architecture here is distinctive, with its rugged industrial vibe fitting the character's background perfectly.
The camera angle for the first shot was very interesting: we found an extremely narrow concrete crevice where the photographer shot from below with a wide-angle lens, requiring me to lean out semi-inverted. In front of me were bluish-gray cement blocks, and the low-angle perspective made the head composition very eye-catching, truly testing my core strength during the shoot. The second photo is a full-body standing shot set against a deep metal arched corridor, where the thick iron gates served as a natural frame. The leading lines of that corridor were flawless; standing on one leg while lifting my skirt hem looked full of dynamic energy, though maintaining balance meant engaging purely through my thigh muscles. The light-and-shadow contrast in this scene was intense—the cool gray sheet metal and bright yellow skirt hem created a striking visual contrast, elongating the leg proportions beautifully.
The third photo is a half-body shot against a massive red neon lightbox. The red ambient glow was intense; gripping the railing while gazing straight into the lens captured a very cool and austere look. The weather was unpredictable that day—by the fourth shot, a gentle rain had begun to fall, leaving the ground glistening wet. We found a grey-brick alley lined with greenery on both sides; looking back in the rain under a transparent umbrella with raindrops on my cheek unexpectedly heightened a serene and melancholic atmosphere.
Coordinating the costume, hair, and makeup for this shoot took considerable thought—the brightness of the yellow dress stood out brilliantly against the dark environment. Combined with the photographer's lighting, blending this anime aura with the real-world old industrial base felt just right, showing how 2D is the magic of reality. Finding authentic abandoned factories or corridors on-site as backdrops was somewhat tiring, but it made for an unforgettable experience.
