This photo set is a creative work finalized together with photographer Hua Wei in the studio. We chose an industrial-style venue; its rugged grey tones happen to set off the refreshing blue-and-white contrast of the character outfit as well as the sharp intensity of the purple Electro sword in hand. Since the post title says \"I am the Liyue Electro Archon,\" I really have to bring out some confidence worthy of the Raiden Shogun. Although I really don't want to be called a beef offal chef, that's all in good fun—when standing in front of the lens, I just want to recreate as much of this character's proud, confident essence as possible.
Speaking of the styling for this shoot, I think the most brilliant part is the layering of the outfit. The upper body retains the classic blue-and-white spliced design, with the choker and golden patterns on the chest adding a touch of delicacy. The puffy light blue gauze skirt below, combined with white lace trim, makes my proportions look sleek and sharp. What satisfied me the most was the black over-the-knee stockings paired with thick-heeled leather shoes. At first, I worried platform shoes would make my feet look heavy, but lifting the skirt hem slightly exposed the garter bow, which actually enhanced visual balance. When running and jumping back and forth in the studio, the black tights outfit with the shoes felt very stable, giving me a great sense of security when performing poses.
Photographer Hua Wei put a lot of thought into lighting. Top lighting hit the wig, giving the blue-purple twin tails a glossy finish, which, paired with the fluffy cat ears on top, looked even more dynamic in the cool-toned environment. During shooting, we focused on how to utilize the Electro sword prop. In the first picture, I turned sideways and raised the long sword, complemented by purple lightning special effects added in post-production, instantly filling the air with a flash-of-lightning combat atmosphere. I must say the prop team's craftsmanship was meticulous: the gold pattern on the hilt and the purple gradient blade felt good in hand; waving it around had a bit of weight, but that was perfect for expressing the character's strength.
Actually, shooting mid-air jump shots tested my stamina quite a bit. You might see me jumping effortlessly in the photos, but to keep the skirt hem and twin tails flying in the most natural state, I jumped back and forth about seven or eight times. Teacher Hua Wei kept shouting \"one more time\" while capturing my expression at the peak of the jump. When this tacit synergy produced results, I knew this set of photos was a success. That feeling of being mid-air made me feel like a character who truly commands Electro power, letting me appreciate the charm of this tsundere character even more.
Then come the third and fourth photos: one spreading arms to showcase the width of the skirt hem, and the other standing on one leg in a playful signature pose. These designs were meant to showcase the character's multifaceted personality—combining a cool combat posture with a light, lively side. Although the studio background didn't have special decorations, this pure cool-toned backlighting scene highlighted the subject presence and outfit texture even better. Personally, I feel that shooting in such a clean environment allows the visual focus to naturally land on my skirt, stockings, and boots, which, paired with my poses, brought high overall completeness to this Cosplay photography project.
After the shoot, watching these raw photos being retouched brought a huge sense of accomplishment. Every Keqing cosplay is a process of rebuilding confidence in the character. It's not just about wearing the costume and wig; more importantly, it's about understanding the character's core. From the moment I picked up the prop, I imagined myself as her. I'm very satisfied with the results of this industrial studio shoot, and thankful for Teacher Hua Wei's precise snaps that made originally stiff poses look natural. This feeling is probably the greatest joy cosplay brings me—in a single moment, actually becoming a presence in that world, rather than just being teased as a simple beef offal chef. This set of photos was crafted with real heart in lighting and motion design, and I hope everyone who sees it can feel what I wanted to express.
