The on-site photos from Jiangmen Jieyuan Comic Exhibition are finally sorted out! I really love this Eurydice cosplay look shot in collaboration with photographer @NightDiva. The red hair paired with the White dress in the photos truly captures that soft summer atmosphere quite nicely.
Let's talk about the preparation details for this look. To match the character's gentle and graceful qualities, I chose this reddish-orange long wavy wig. The curls are just right without looking too heavy, and I specifically adjusted the bangs on both sides to slim my face. For the headpiece, I handcrafted small white flowers paired with tassel pendants; though small in real life, they framed my silhouette wonderfully on camera and added an airy, ethereal charm to the pure White dress. The makeup emphasized softness—light-colored contact lenses accentuated the brightness of the eyes, while the eye makeup was kept clean and natural without heavy eyeshadow, since the dress and hair color already provided enough vibrant palette, leaving appropriate breathing room for facial features.
As for the shoot day itself, Jiangmen's weather was great. Even within the indoor exhibition hall, the contrast between light and shadow gave the photos wonderful texture. Photographer @NightDiva understood the exact atmosphere I wanted, guiding me into a semi-profile pose glancing back over my shoulder while gently brushing a lock of hair. This smooth, candid capture avoided the stiffness of rigid posing, keeping me feeling relaxed throughout. Moreover, the convention admission wristband on my wrist was a detail that added authentic Coser daily life texture to the photo. Friends have asked whether I would edit out the wristband in post-processing, but I prefer keeping it because it carries genuine memories of that cosplay day.
The fabric of the dress is a pure white cotton blend, structured to the touch and wrinkle-resistant. The high-waisted cut flatters the silhouette, while the sleeve bows and hemline lace echo each other harmoniously. This lightweight White dress styling is incredibly practical for summer conventions—preventing overheating while allowing effortless freedom of movement.
The convention saw dense foot traffic that day, filled with many other cosplayers and gamers. Navigating through crowds to chat with fellow fans and take convention photos are the unique delights of offline events. Capturing clean, crisp mid-shots in a bustling environment requires clear communication and patience; fortunately, our synergy that day was super efficient.
Looking from a high side angle, the red wavy hair and White dress formed a striking color contrast. Paired with a subtle smile, the emotional atmosphere of the whole image was frozen in time. In post-processing, both the photographer and I chose to preserve natural skin texture without excessive smoothing, emphasizing authentic light and shadow dynamics.
Every photoshoot requires extensive preparation—from wig styling and outfit matching to collaborating with the photographer. This Convention photography experience at Jiangmen Jieyuan Comic Exhibition gave me genuine satisfaction with how this Eurydice cosplay look turned out. Offline conventions are not only a platform to showcase beloved characters, but also a great opportunity to make new friends; a social space built on shared passions is always heartwarming and fun. This concludes my recap and sharing of these Eurydice convention photos—behind every single shot are countless details and stories waiting to be discovered.
