Wanting to awaken the knowledge sleeping in ancient codices bit by bit under the quiet moonlight. For this Patchouli look, I specially emphasized that reclusive sense of Atmosphere. In costume design, I chose a textured purple skirt and exquisite layered headpieces, hoping to precisely restore her unique temperament of being indulged in magic and academia in the library. To give the entire scene a stronger sense of storytelling, many floral decorations were added to the shooting site. These blooming flowers and ancient codices interweave in front of the lens, creating a romantic yet profound academic palace aesthetic. As a veteran fan of Touhou Project, I have always highly appreciated the cold yet erudite contrast charm of this character. During the shooting process, I tried to restore her identity as the guardian of knowledge through details in her gaze and sitting posture; this immersive interpretation process is actually very healing. From the drape of the fabric to the coordination of the surrounding light and shadow, the polishing of every detail is in pursuit of higher accuracy, so that everyone can feel the tranquility and erudition belonging to Patchouli in the photos.
