Getting straight to the point, this photoshoot features Privaty from Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. To accurately portray this character, I put a lot of effort into the wig. This teal-blue twintail wig underwent fine curling treatments, leaving the ends with natural spiral curls. Combined with the black square-checkered hair ribbon and small black hairpins on top, it achieves that signature fluffy texture.
As for makeup, paired with thin black-framed square glasses, the emphasis was placed on the expression around the eyes, aiming to capture the character's sharp look that blends stoicism with a hint of playfulness. Outfit details are also a key highlight of this set. The long-sleeved black mesh cutout top features a 3D tailored cut that nicely highlights body curves while exuding a strong anime aesthetic. For the bottom, it's paired with a super short black pleated skirt featuring distinctive white and black garter-like straps at the waist, which connect the top and bottom while adding visual layering. A black suit jacket with white stripes rests nearby, enriching the overall look.
The shiny black pantyhose on the legs is an element I personally love. Under the studio lights, this material displays a unique sheen that, combined with the black pointed high heels, elongates the overall silhouette. For props, I specifically prepared a slender pen and several textbooks to match her persona as a supervising teacher. During the shoot, I sat on the edge of a wooden desk, legs naturally crossed, right hand resting casually on the tabletop holding the pen between my fingertips, chin slightly tilted up, eyes gazing directly at the camera.
To make the images more vivid, the photographer used overhead lighting to create a strong contrast between light and shadow, highlighting the reflective highlights on the black tights and high heels with exceptional clarity. Additionally, fantasy light effects were added in post-processing around the waist and feet—such as shimmering stardust particles and cloud-like mist around the ankles—giving the realistic classroom scene a surreal, magical atmosphere. These special effects weren't meant to mask anything, but rather to match the character's unique expressive flare in the game, boosting the scene's elegance and visual tension.
Maintaining a balanced pose was quite important during the shoot; sitting on the edge of a wood-grained desk required maintaining a natural posture while expressing a confident look. Between shots, I adjusted the wig to ensure the bangs and twintails remained flawless. When expressing the character's personality, eye contact played a decisive role. As the black glasses frame caught the light, looking into the camera lens through the glasses effectively conveyed a sense of pressure—stern yet subtly playful. Though there were no complex pose designs this time, controlling the details of props and outfit brought out the true essence of the character.
The authentic classroom set decoration also contributed immensely to the photo. Behind me was a classic black chalkboard, with green plants to the left and open books on the desk, creating a realistic classroom atmosphere that allowed the cosplay to naturally melt into the scene. For makeup maintenance, since we were shooting from multiple angles, the base makeup had to be extremely durable; especially with glasses, the nose pad area tends to get oily and smudge, making touch-ups essential. Regarding lighting, direct side-backlighting outlined a beautiful halo along the hair strands. Flipping the hair to both sides, tilting my head slightly up, and focusing intensely on the character's expression—every single detail had to be painstakingly reconstructed. When selecting the jacket, the stripe spacing and fabric drape also had to match the setting's impression.
I believe a great cosplay isn't just about dressing up neatly, but more importantly about creating the right expression and atmosphere. From the shade of blue hair to the tied ribbon, down to the angle of the glasses, everything required constant adjustments. Throughout the shoot, we continuously experimented with different body language, striving to capture the moment that best felt like the character. After hours of adjustments and shooting, the final photos seamlessly blended the quietness of the classroom, the character's cool demeanor, and the gorgeous details of the outfit. These photos record my interpretation of this character and present Privaty's unique charm in the classroom through visual language.
