Bringing Neon from VALORANT into an ROG gaming room for this shoot turned out amazing, as the purple-red ambient lighting clashed brilliantly with the character's signature blue palette. The setup itself inherently carries strong esports attributes, fitting the character's design seamlessly. This saved us a lot of effort in building the atmosphere, allowing us to focus entirely on expressing the character's inner state.
To faithfully recreate this look, the twin-tails of the wig were meticulously styled. The blue hair revealed distinct tonal layers under the gaming room lights, especially the yellow accents at the tips, which popped vividly when the light hit them. The silver markings on the forehead and the adhesive bandage across the bridge of the nose were central to the makeup, paired with blue contacts to give the gaze a sharper, more focused intensity on camera. The combat suit features an intricate design; the golden chest armor looks striking but has noticeable weight, imposing some physical constraints, so posture had to be carefully maintained during movement. The deep blue-and-black palette combined with metallic guards radiated a solid mecha aesthetic under cool-toned illumination.
During the photoshoot, holding a matching plush doll served as a great interactive prop. Its silver, white, and blue colors resonated with my outfit, making the frame much more dynamic. For the full-body shot seated on the white gaming chair, I deliberately adjusted my posture to elongate the leg lines, which, paired with the black tactical boots, highlighted the character's athletic power. The ambient purple-pink glow emanating from the adjacent ROG PC chassis illuminated its translucent casing while catching the highlights in my hair.
To capture the swift agility of an agent's movements, I experimented with various dynamic poses—leaning forward, resting with the plush, and spreading my arms wide. Showcasing dynamics across these varied postures placed high demands on garment texture and bodily silhouettes. Against such an authentic esports setting, there was no need for superfluous embellishments; paired with professional Anime-style photography lighting, simple yet powerful movements effortlessly captured the character's soul.
