For this vintage look of Wakaba Mutsumi, the primary objective was recreating that ethereal yet suffocating atmosphere. The long mint-green wig demanded exceptional drape in the hair fibers, undergoing multiple trimmings to reach the desired look. The dark navy tone of the dress carries a formal weight, tailored from relatively structured fabric to cleanly support the white ruffled lace around the collar and cuffs. To emphasize the character's delicate nuance, a black choker was added at the neckline to create a sharp contrast against the white lace, while the belt was cinched tightly during shooting to define the flared silhouette of the skirt.

Throughout the session, backlight served as the finest asset. The soft light filtering through the sheer window drapes cast gentle highlights over the white stockings and black high heels, crafting a dreamy yet aloof visual texture. In the final seated shot on the sofa, stretching out my legs elegantly showcased their proportions and lines. Shading my face with one hand was meant to convey the character's emotional isolation and detachment—evoking that very sentiment of 'the monster in my heart' referenced in the post.

The most delicate part of this shoot lay in the expression of the eyes. Wakaba Mutsumi is defined by her reluctance to reveal emotions, so before the lens, I deliberately emptied my gaze or kept my head tilted down away from the camera, letting my posture and setting communicate that heavy restraint. The white stockings had a substantial, opaque texture that avoided harsh glares under backlighting, pairing wonderfully with the black heels for striking photos.

The white sofa by the window and the translucent lace curtains made an ideal backdrop: being clean and neutral, they accentuated the somber weight of the deep navy dress, bathing the entire composition in a vintage, subtly chilling mood. The shoot was physically demanding because the expansive skirt required leg strength to support the poses, all while striving to maintain an emotionless void, making the inner self feel detached from the physical form.
