(Munch munch munch) When shooting this set, I was biting on a flatbread prop. The photographer next to me was holding back laughter the whole time, saying my expression looked a bit silly. Although Genshin Impact's Scaramouche is a character with a very complex personality in lore, this time we decided to present him in a more relatable, everyday manner, which created that visual contrast of pure silliness. Honestly, when unboxing this Scaramouche cosplay outfit from Sanfen Wangxiang, I was pleasantly surprised. The texture of the real blue-and-white fabric felt extremely comfortable and lightweight, offering no sense of restriction when worn. To fit the vibe in my mind—a blend of detachment and casual ease—I specifically chose this long blue wig and red contact lenses, adding a slight reddish blush around the eyes to make my gaze appear sharper yet softened under the lighting. The location for this shoot was a deeply traditional wooden interior featuring antique display shelves in the background scattered with blue-and-white porcelain vases and trinkets, alongside a floor lamp and paper sliding doors in the corner. The sunlight was fantastic that day; strong natural light poured in from the side, casting crisp shadows across the floor and walls, adding immense atmosphere. Sitting on the low wooden stool in a White thigh-highs outfit, poses like sitting sideways or cross-legged easily highlighted the outfit's lines and leg proportions. The shooting process was quite fun, especially having to constantly bite into the flatbread prop to catch that adorable, dopey feeling—balancing his stern character demeanor with a natural bite really tested my facial expression management. Luckily, Sanfen Wangxiang's costume tailoring is excellent; the wave-patterned print on the coat looked striking under natural light, and the metal chain and round ornament at the collar showed meticulous detail. Sitting right in the illuminated spot gave the final photos an amazing mood. I think Wanderer in Genshin Impact has so many layers to explore; different styling and environments endow him with entirely different temperaments. This blue-and-white palette combined with a quiet indoor setting gave him a tranquil, settled feel without sharp aggressiveness. Looking back while sitting on the floor with my white-stockinged feet on the rug, I personally loved how those shots turned out—they carried a casual, free-spirited relaxation. Cosplay is truly a process of exploring another facet of a character, especially one with as many narrative layers as Scaramouche. This hair, makeup, and shoot gave me a much more grounded, everyday understanding of him, leaving me feeling refreshed afterward. Pairing props and scenery is so crucial; even just eating or casually fiddling with a pendant brings the character out of the game into a grounded, living presence. Overall, it was a fantastic shooting experience with light, scene, and costume coming together perfectly—completing this set brought immense satisfaction, and looking back, it remains a truly happy memory.
