For this Byakuren Hijiri look, I spent a lot of time perfecting everything from hair and makeup to garment details. The wig features a gradient flowing from vivid purple down to golden blonde, and the soft wavy curls on both sides were carefully styled section by section with a flat iron. Paired with hazel-green contact lenses and slightly elongated eyeliner, I aimed to embody the character's calm, dignified, and commanding presence. The costume has incredible layering—a white stand-up collar base layer accented with black criss-cross ribbons across the chest, overlaid by the black main dress. What satisfied me most was the abundant white lace splicing and black ruffles along the cuffs and hemline, creating rich, flowing movement with every step. The outer cape is made of substantial, heavy fabric—pure black on the outside with a vibrant crimson lining. Swishing the cape during the shoot created a dramatic, visually striking contrast between black and red before the lens. For the lower half, I styled black-and-white striped stockings with black lace-up chunky-heeled ankle boots, bringing high visual cohesion to the overall silhouette. In terms of props, the silver-gray lotus is a piece I truly adore; with built-in internal illumination, it cast a warm amber glow in the dimmer exhibition hall lighting. The metallic monk's staff in hand carried considerable weight; while the golden filigree headpiece was intricately crafted, maintaining a steady, effortless single-handed hold required noticeable forearm strength, leaving my arm quite sore between takes. In the second photo, I also paired it with a wide-brim woven bamboo conical hat, instantly channeling the free-spirited demeanor of a wandering mendicant. Shooting live on the floor at the World Line Comic Con, the soaring metallic ceiling and scattered bokeh light spots in the background created an amazing atmosphere. Although the venue lighting was complex, thanks to photographer Yuqing Muse's precise candid captures and post-processing, the subtle jacquard patterns, lace textures, and smooth tonal transitions were reproduced with exquisite fidelity. To bring out the character's core traits, I kept my body language composed and graceful and my gaze intently focused—whether cradling the lotus in both hands, holding a single palm raised in blessing, or pacing forward with the staff, striving to convey a serene yet formidable strength. This set of recap photos serves as a wonderful memory of the convention.
