The moment I received the costume and props for Sheng Cai'er, their hefty, tangible weight convinced me that I had to capture an exceptional set at the convention. To embody the character's disposition, I deliberately deepened the eyeshadow blending and chose reddish-purple contact lenses, hoping to project a cold, sharp intensity through my gaze. The wig also took hours of meticulous trimming; the blunt bangs and sidelocks had to be styled crisply to avoid looking frizzy under intense convention lights. The costume details are remarkably refined: the mysterious deep purple fabric is lavishly adorned with extensive gold embroidery, while metallic collar embellishments and flared bell sleeves create striking visual depth with every movement. The asymmetrical hemline is cut to perfection, paired with black high-heeled leather boots and silver leg garters to highlight leg lines while preserving the sharp agility of a combat character.
Shooting on the convention floor, the massive scythe in hand was undeniably the ultimate eye-catcher. Although constructed with lightweight materials, its sheer length made striking poses a demanding test of core strength and arm stability. To convey the imposing weight of a God's Favored awakening, I continuously shifted my center of gravity—holding the scythe slanted toward the floor in my right hand while extending my left arm outwards—using deliberate body language to project effortless dominion. The photographer was thoroughly professional, and the on-site lighting setup was flawless, with softboxes on both sides fully bringing out the subtle textures and golden borders of the fabric.
The convention environment was bustling and crowded with passersby, making it quite challenging to maintain an aloof composure and stay locked into the lens. With every pose transition, I had to keep close track of the scythe's reach to avoid accidentally bumping into anyone nearby. Because of the shorter skirt hem and tall heel height, enduring long hours of standing and posing proved to be a considerable endurance trial; during brief breaks, I had to rest carefully in a secluded corner to prevent creasing the garments or smudging the makeup. However, reviewing the frames on camera—the visual tension of the purple-and-black palette and the metallic sheen of the weaponry—made every ounce of fatigue vanish instantly. The color synergy is classic: combining purple, gold, and black conveys both divine purity and the brooding darkness of the God of Death, perfectly aligning with today's theme. That concludes this convention floor log, and the fully retouched photos are being processed swiftly.
