From the moment I selected this outfit inspired by blue and white porcelain, I had high expectations for this photoshoot. The original post described it as \"blue and white porcelain,\" which is indeed spot on. The main body of the dress is smooth, moon-white satin adorned with ink-wash blue-and-white floral patterns, feeling soft and light. The black sheer mesh paneling around the neckline and chest avoids looking overly busy, instead softening any heavy classical feel. Paired with neckline accessories and blue ribbon ties, the outfit retains Chinese style elements while integrating subtle couth and modern aesthetics tailored for a cosplayer's perspective.

Looking at the set photos beforehand, I knew this backdrop was a rare find. The dark Chinese carved wooden chairs, the carved screen behind, red flowers and pinkish-purple blossoms in the set design, alongside the round hand fan painted with flying birds—every prop was matched impeccably. I was particularly pleased with the lighting design: the main light carried a cool blue tone falling across hair and skin, creating a striking warm-cool contrast with the environment's warm yellow lamps and red flora. This dim, storytelling ambiance brought out the character's quiet, cool nature wonderfully.

This shoot really tested my patience because I heard this physical studio set was going to be dismantled soon. I'm deeply grateful to the photography and set design team for working together to capture these images before its removal. Although interior lighting was dim and required adjusting standing and sitting poses repeatedly to catch light beams, seeing the final photos made all the effort worthwhile. In particular, the styling combining long gloves, a short skirt, and black tights created a comfortable sense of visual extension through leg contours and stepping angles while seated.

I also loved the compositions where I partially hid my face behind the round hand fan. The contrast between the fan's texture and clear facial expressions worked nicely, and close-up shots clearly displayed hair tones and makeup details. The foundation and blush pairing achieved a clean, crisp texture without exaggerated colors. Although I rarely wear outfits with modified cheongsam elements in daily life, putting it on naturally made my movements more reserved and composed.

Holding the round fan prop throughout added a slight sense of physical constraint, but it unexpectedly provided a grounding anchor when posing. Temperatures inside the studio set were slightly cooler than expected. Sitting on the wooden armrest for extended periods in lightweight fabric made it easy to feel the ambient chill, yet this very environment made it easier to maintain a cool, tranquil facial expression.

Returning to outfit details, the neck pendant and overlapping chest design contoured the silhouette beautifully. Sitting upright or leaning slightly, the drape of the garment blended naturally with body curves. Glove length sat right above the elbow without feeling bulky, balancing black tights with visual lightness. Across several pose sets, I intentionally slowed my rhythm to give the photographer ample time to capture moments where light spots fell on fabric folds or hair strands.

The overall vibe of this photo set closely matched my initial vision when I first held the dress. It isn't overly flashy or boisterous, but tells a story of character and attire through serene tones and unpretentious set design. Before shooting, I prepared many character references regarding her original personality, but under the specific setting that day, seamlessly blending into the environment felt far more crucial than forcing poses.

Because studio time was limited and set props were quite valuable, we moved and adjusted with extra care. Chengdu photoshoot request resources are truly high-quality, and completing a photoshoot with such Eastern aesthetic characteristics in an antique atmosphere felt like a wonderful, enriching experience for me.

Likely because the lighting and costume colors harmonized so well, I leaned toward unedited straight-out-of-camera images with little hesitation during selection. Post-processing mainly adjusted shadow depth layers, keeping leg areas and highlights clear and transparent. As the creator and subject in these pictures, seeing the slightly melancholic yet airy visual effect in the final shots makes me incredibly glad to have captured this moment, matching the sentiments written in my thoughts.
