This photoshoot features a slice-of-life school uniform concept for Kamisato Ayaka, the young miss of the Yashiro Commission. Missing out on last year's HEYTEA collaboration was admittedly a bit disappointing, so I'm hoping for fresh opportunities to visit offline pop-ups this year.

The cut of this sailor suit is wonderful, with its blue-and-white color palette perfectly aligning with Ayaka's signature colors. I specifically selected a light-blue wig and trimmed straight bangs; the large navy bow on top and the delicate pink ribbons flanking both cheeks serve as the crowning touch to faithfully embody her grace. For makeup, bright blue contact lenses were indispensable, with the eye look emphasizing an innocent, doe-eyed aesthetic—the aegyo sal and lower lashline contouring were drawn with great care, paired with a vibrant red lip to brighten the complexion. The lower half features a deep navy pleated mini skirt, classic White stockings, and black platform loafers, completing the quintessential JK uniform aesthetic.

The location was a modern semi-outdoor venue with stairs. The high-key Japanese-style natural lighting was delightfully soft, and the canopy of the architecture acted as a natural diffuser, resulting in crisp, translucent skin tones. To avoid static poses, I incorporated more dynamic interaction—such as extending a deep blue folding fan toward the camera, glancing back on the steps while carrying a black school bag, or resting on the stairs with one hand gently cradling my cheek. The folding fan and school satchel served as very functional props, enriching the composition while giving my hands natural placement, particularly in the over-the-shoulder shot which beautifully accentuated the leg lines.

Kamisato Ayaka naturally embodies the aristocratic yet warm grace of a noble daughter of the snow nation, so while posing, I consciously kept my spine straight and my gaze soft and gentle. Opening and closing the fan needed to appear calm and poised to capture her spirit. The sailor suit's broad collar is exceptionally flattering for framing the neck and shoulders. The photographer guided my light awareness throughout the shoot. For those cosplaying JK uniform variations, choosing the right footwear and socks is vital: chunky platform loafers not only elongate leg proportions but also provide a steady stride, while White stockings ending just below the calf visually offer the most flattering silhouette. I hope to attend an offline Genshin Impact event this year in this outfit to make up for earlier regrets.
