[Sakuya Izayoi cosplay] Touhou Project's Elegant Chief Maid: A Flawless Debut at Autumn Reitaisai - Image 1

Today at the Autumn Reitaisai convention hall, I stepped straight into the shoes of the Scarlet Devil Mansion's elegant Chief Maid. Preparing this Sakuya Izayoi coordinate took immense care regarding wardrobe construction and styling beforehand. For the wig, I selected silvery-white twin tails bound tight at the ends with dark green ribbon ties, which paired with the white ruffled maid headband atop my crown to dial both layering and lore fidelity to the maximum.

The top features a dark pinstriped long-sleeved shirt finished with a contrasting white fold-over collar, fastened with a petite black bow tie and framed by classic white cuffs trimmed with black edging. The dark skirt on the lower half is exceptionally heavy-duty: the front hem boasts large embroidered white filigree motifs, bordered with delicate white lace and cascading tiers of ruffles. The black-and-white color palette is restrained yet brimming with intricate nuances, perfectly matching the Chief Maid's disciplined, sharp, and decisive modus operandi.

Being the quintessential 'dashing maid,' posing naturally couldn't be stiff or static. Before the camera, I specifically struck a pose lifting one leg backward, holding a delicate hand gesture near my cheek with my left hand while lightly pinching the rim of the skirt with my right. This posture genuinely tests core stability; to freeze the exact instant the flared skirt billowed outward, the photographer and I repeatedly adjusted balance and angles in a quiet corner of the hall. To accentuate leg lines, the lower half featured black over-the-knee socks (Black stockings) paired with glossy patent leather black Mary Janes. The round-toe chunky block heel not only elongated my vertical silhouette but also kept my footing secure on the convention center's metallic grated flooring.

Foot traffic at Autumn Reitaisai was immense, with passing attendees and photographers weaving through the background. Despite the bustling noise, the moment I raised my leg and locked eyes with the camera lens, I felt completely immersed in character. This Touhou Project Scarlet Symphony-styled attire revealed an exquisite texture under the convention's cool lighting; numerous fellow Touhou fans recognized the character along the way, sparking delightful conversations about creative fan works.

As a cosplayer who frequently portrays maid-themed characters, I made multiple fine adjustments to the tailoring of this outfit. Since thigh-high socks tend to roll down when walking, I reinforced the inner bands with reliable anti-slip grips; to prevent the hem's lace from snagging, I chose softer, supple textile weaves. After a full day of shooting, walking in chunky heels was undeniably tiring, but bringing a coordinate that balances formidable presence with maid-like grace to life at Autumn Reitaisai made the entire experience deeply rewarding.
