[Vivian Cosplay] Birthday Wish: Lord Phaethon Must Always Stay by Her Side - Zenless Zone Zero

Vivian's birthday photo set is finally retouched! Today happens to be her birthday, so taking advantage of this celebration atmosphere, I'm sharing this set of Zenless Zone Zero Vivian cosplay photos.

To fit the evening mood, I opted for an outdoor location for this Night view cosplay creation. Costume-wise, a white shirt paired with a dark sleeveless outer vest; the purple stripes on the cuffs and the iconic purple diamond gem at the collar were the key highlights for accuracy. During the shoot, we paid special attention to the gem's texture. Since night lighting on location is complex, the gem could easily look dull without fill light, so I asked the photographer to apply a subtle rim light from the front, allowing the gem to refract a crystal-clear gleam that matches the character's crucial tie-accent detail. The headpiece features a structured ribbon bow; to keep it resting naturally on my head, I added internal reinforcement to prevent wind distortion.

For the wig, I selected a light purple gradient blending into a soft pinkish-white tone. The forehead bangs were styled with a subtle center part that curves naturally toward both sides, framing the face nicely and adding soft elegance to the character. The ends were given a slightly airy texture to maintain lightweight movement. Makeup-wise, to emphasize character traits, I used an orange-red lip tint complemented by blended pinkish-purple eye shadow, extending the outer corners slightly, brushing lashes long and fine, and elongating the inner eyeliner corners to capture her delicate yet mysterious charm.

In terms of photography technique, the photographer utilized a wide aperture to create a stunning bokeh effect. Streetlights and distant neon lights in the background transformed into colorful light orbs, blending cool tones (blue-violet) with warm tones (orange-yellow). Paired with the character's long light-purple hair, the color composition achieved a unified harmony. We specifically sought out a location with water reflections, where the water surface mirrored twinkling lights along the shore to enrich the background texture.

Regarding emotional expression in the frame, as the concept centers around making a wish, I chose a posture with hands clasped together at my chest and eyes downturned. This pose effectively conveys a sense of peacefulness, prayer, and quiet devotion. During the shoot, clearing away all distractions and settling into the quietest mindset was essential, as any muscle tension would ruin the soft wishing mood. The main challenge of night photography lies in keeping facial lighting soft yet three-dimensional; we used a larger softbox for diffuse light, ensuring natural shadow transitions without harsh, dark cast shadows under the eyes or nose.

A tremendous amount of effort was poured into this cosplay set—from wig styling and makeup details to timing the night shoot, every step was meticulously scheduled. On such a special day, I hope this Zenless Zone Zero Vivian cosplay work conveys the character's innate gentle grace while allowing me to experience emotional resonance through Roleplay. Though exhausted after wrapping the outdoor shoot, seeing her serene, prayerful expression in the final photos made every bit of effort deeply rewarding.
