I finally brought this costume of The Shorekeeper from Wuthering Waves to life! Choosing the textiles involved endless deliberation from the start, as the character carries a profound, serene oceanic presence; ultimately, I settled on shimmering white and light-blue fine tulle fabrics with subtle sparkle. To faithfully recreate that airy, tiered layering, the gown incorporated extensive gathered ruffles and flounces, while the crisscross waist lacing and ribbon bow accents were reworked three times before hitting the perfect aesthetic.

As for the wig, trimming this long, pale Blue wig was quite the challenge. I kept relatively thick blunt bangs to lend a youthful softness, pairing it with a lace-textured hood over the head trimmed with delicate sequins and draped gossamer netting, which created a floating, weightless effect during movement. For makeup, purple contact lenses mirrored the character's gaze, paired with prominent pink-blended eyeshadow and dense glitter accents along the outer corners and aegyo sal to project a dreamy, translucent radiance before the camera. A soft grapefruit tone was chosen for the lips, deliberately softening facial sharpness to give the visage a gentler, more ethereal glow.

The shooting location on the day of the convention was rather unconventional—a drink promotional booth on the show floor. The background was filled with glaring neon signboards and wooden display racks, creating a cluttered visual setting with warm ambient color temperatures. For a blue-toned coordinate, this posed quite a challenge. To prevent the blue fabric from getting washed out by the ambient lighting, we tracked down a cleaner, isolated key light on site. Poses like touching my cheek or extending a hand toward the camera added dynamic tension and interactive charm to the frame. Holding an iced black tea to match the booth's vibe, the warm orange bottle against the cool blue-and-white gown formed an intriguing chromatic contrast, yielding candid snapshots that felt far livelier than stiff posed shots.

When channeling the character's temperament, I kept my gaze calm yet subtly distant. That downcast glance with a slight tilt of the head in the third photo is one of my favorite nuances, capturing her gentle, listening demeanor. Standing tall with arms lightly raised or turning to showcase the profile of the gown brought out the waist cutouts and the tiered ruffles of the skirt to their fullest potential. Even with its voluminous layers, the dress felt surprisingly light to wear thanks to the breathable chiffon, though navigating the venue meant remaining watchful not to step on the hem or snag it against display panels.

Doing Anime cosplay at comic conventions or live events often brings unpredictable environmental variables, from tricky lighting and surrounding crowds to spatial limitations. Rapidly gauging light positions, adjusting footwork, and optimizing camera angles on the fly offered valuable on-site shooting experience. The final frames in this Convention photo report captured a faithful embodiment of the character, and I hope everyone can feel that quiet, serene ocean atmosphere through these images.
