This shoot features Jeanne d'Arc Alter Santa Lily from Fate/Grand Order in her festive Christmas costume. To ensure the highest fidelity to the character, the outfit combined a red, green, and white dress with black over-the-knee socks (Black stockings) and chunky white ankle boots. The backdrop was solid mint green seamless paper; this high-contrast, cool-toned background effectively accentuated the visual impact of the red, white, and green color palette of the costume. For props, we prepared a Christmas tree, several ribbon-tied gift boxes, and a giant red-and-white striped candy cane.

For posing, I referenced official character illustrations closely. The standing poses were mainly designed to highlight the visual elongation of the Black stockings and the layers of the skirt, utilizing the sharp contrast between the black socks and white boots to sculpt leg lines. Seated poses were used more to showcase upper-body styling details and expressions. The photographer emphasized how lighting carved out the tactile textures of the black leather gloves and white plush trims, ensuring that the silhouette remained crisp from both high and low angles. The candy cane prop was fantastic for interaction—whether cradling it in the foreground or wielding it like a festive staff, it naturally guided the viewer's gaze and enriched the composition.

The craftsmanship of this outfit is remarkably detailed. The silver metallic hair accessories and tiny bells on the headband required careful tension adjustment to prevent shifting during larger movements. The white plush trim added winter warmth, while the red-lined skirt hem lent dynamic flow in motion. Jeanne d'Arc Alter Santa Lily possesses a uniquely steadfast yet innocent personality, so expression control demanded a focused, slightly dignified gaze rather than being overly sweet.

After wrap-up, we performed meticulous post-processing on the raw images, primarily cleaning up background imperfections, harmonizing color temperature, and enhancing the festive red-green contrast for a clean, luminous finish. This shoot reinforced how crucial props are for framing—using different-sized gift boxes to enhance depth of field and relying on the lines of the candy cane to balance the visual focal point. Even though wearing a short skirt and over-the-knee Black stockings in a chilly studio for hours tested endurance, the rich garment details made the creative process thoroughly rewarding.

To achieve the best lines before the camera, angles and ranges of motion were repeatedly refined. Alongside showing her adorable charm, expressing her saintly dignity was essential. This shoot deepened my connection with the character, making the meticulous preparation worthwhile. From pinning hair accessories to adjusting gloves, every step demanded patience. I hope these final images convey the warm Christmas spirit and deep respect for the character lore, balanced by the red-white tones, green accents, and cool background.

This concludes the full log for this Jeanne d'Arc Alter Santa Lily Christmas photoshoot. Through thorough wardrobe preparation and on-set staging, I fully experienced the joy and challenges of roleplay, and I hope this sharing brings aesthetic resonance to fans of the character.
