This time I challenged the Halloween original design version of Usada Pekora. Halloween-themed costume designs often lean towards dark or gothic styles, and this original design cleverly integrates the iconic elements of the hololive character. The main body of the costume adopts a deep blue velvet material, which presents a very beautiful gloss under the lighting. Combined with golden piping and Chinese frog button designs, it not only enhances the overall texture but also brings out a retro gorgeous feel.

Special thanks/mention to the sleeve design; the black semi-transparent lace bell sleeves are one of the highlights of this outfit. The lace texture is extremely delicate, and the edges are embellished with golden tassels. When walking or striking poses, the tassels sway accordingly, adding to the dynamic beauty of the frame. This collision of materials both matches the mysterious atmosphere of Halloween and avoids appearing too dull.

The headpiece part retains the iconic black-and-white rabbit ears, but a huge black-and-gold bow is added in front of the rabbit ears, hanging a talisman with red writing. The design of this talisman is the finishing touch of the entire styling, endowing the character with a unique Eastern fantasy color, forming an interesting mix-and-match with the Western Halloween style.

To match the sexy elements of the costume, a black short skirt paired with semi-transparent black stockings was chosen for the lower body. During the shoot, I deliberately designed several sitting poses, showcasing the skin-showing effect and leg lines of the black stockings through a slight tilt of the body and the crossing of legs. The joint part between the black stockings and the lace skirt hem can visually well extend the leg proportions. Small details like black nail polish and rings on the hands are also meant to make the overall styling more complete.

In terms of makeup, to fit the Halloween little devil temperament, the eye makeup intensified the smudging of red-pink tones, with the outer corners of the eyes slightly upturned, and obvious blush swept across the nose tip and cheeks. The blue hair pops out vividly against the dark-toned background; to highlight the layering of the hair strands, the main light source during the shoot was slightly off-center, outlining the facial contours while making the blue wig look more translucent.

In terms of props, the silver tray on the left and the sliced cake are meant to increase the narrative of the frame, creating a dark-style afternoon tea atmosphere. The black patterned curtains and intricate European carpet in the background provide a great environmental base color, making the main character more prominent. Trying this kind of original design with a large style contrast requires more attention to details in makeup, styling, and shooting coordination, especially how to retain the texture of the clothes and the translucent feel of the black stockings in low-light environments, which was the focus of continuous adjustment during this shoot.
