This shoot features Sunna from Zenless Zone Zero, dressed in a Cat-ear maid outfit paired with mint green long hair; the overall style conveys that soft, cute, yet energetic feel of a working girl. Thoughtful care went into costume details: the golden bell and green accents at the collar prevent the dark-and-white color blocking from looking monotonous. A red backpack on the back connects to white fluffy wings, combined with the red-and-white megaphone held in hand, maxing out the prop aesthetic. For shooting, we selected a pure white shadowless studio; such a clean backdrop highlights the color-block contrasts of the outfit best while making the wig texture much clearer.

On the day of the shoot, I paid special attention to adjusting poses. The seated shots focused on displaying the pairing of thigh rings with white over-the-knee socks—jagged lace borders and red bowknots are highly characteristic of the character. Furthermore, bare feet resting on the white platform concentrated visual focus right on the skirt hem and leg lines. The standing set holding the megaphone presents another lively state: raising one foot dynamically lets the skirt spread out naturally while displaying the full 3D shape of the backpack and wings. Photographer Hongbai controlled lighting brilliantly, with uniform soft light and no excess shadows, capturing both the folds of the maid dress and the texture of the stockings.

In truth, for Cute girl cosplay like this, the biggest fear is appearing overly stiff, so I tried my best to weave everyday life details into my actions—like tilting my head slightly, fingers gently clutching the collar, or the exact moment right as the megaphone is about to be raised. Under the lights, the wig displayed a light cyan tone, looking very refreshing when paired with the white ruffles on the cat-ear headband. Hardly any major post-processing adjustments were made, as pre-shooting lighting and makeup already closely matched the original design. Although the entire set was a studio shoot, that relaxed feel of an Afternoon tea break was cultivated through collaboration between the photography team and me—free of artificial posing and more a natural expression of cute charm.

This time I also experimented with compositions from different angles: low angles make legs look longer, while eye-level shots highlight facial expressions. The combination of white stockings with black suspender straps stands out prominently on camera, while red accents keep the frame from feeling monotonous. I feel the meaning of cosplay lies in transforming 2D flat characters into warm, living human images, which is why I carefully study the character's subtle habits for every shoot.
