[Aemeath Cosplay] Wuthering Waves Summer Swimsuit: Playing in the Water and Having Fun

This shoot features the summer swimsuit variant of Aemeath from Wuthering Waves, styled around the laid-back, breezy ambiance of an open-air water park. For hair and makeup, to faithfully recreate the character's signature look, I wore a long pastel-pink wig accented with pink star ornaments, white wing-shaped crests at the crown, and blue-and-white teardrop barrettes along the sides. A blue heart motif was painted over the chest, paired with fine eye makeup and vibrant contact lenses to bring out that authentic 2D anime presence.

For the outfit, I chose a ruffled pink halter bikini top paired with denim shorts detailed with lace trim and side lace-up ties. The pink beaded chain along my hip and the blue venue wristband were personal touches I added to enrich the visual layers while grounding the authentic atmosphere of splashing at a water park. Long wigs are notoriously tricky to manage in water; though I prepped it with water-resistant styling sprays beforehand, I constantly had to adjust the side locks between takes so damp strands wouldn't plaster across my face and spoil the composition.

The location was set in a lively outdoor water park, framed by lush greenery and vibrant blue water slide flumes. The midday sun was blindingly bright, casting intense specular glare across the water that made it genuinely difficult to track the lens while submerged. Throughout the session, I explored a wide range of poses—standing waist-deep in the pool throwing heart signs, perching in shallow water splashing dynamic droplets toward the camera, leaning back casually against the safety rails, and lifting the tips of my pink hair with both hands.

The greatest obstacle during aquatic shoots is water resistance and buoyancy: postures warp easily, and breathing demands conscious regulation. To freeze that crisp droplet spray in mid-air, the photographer fired burst sequences while I fine-tuned the sweeping arc of my hands over and over to keep the gestures natural rather than forced. Compared to controlled studio shoots, on-location water shoots demand far more stamina, yet the organic highlights created by sunlight glistening off water droplets elevate the final texture beyond compare.

This collection captures the refreshing energy of summer water play alongside the character's aesthetic hallmarks. Snapping photos while wading in water requires endless patience, but seeing the glistening beads of water catch the sun across the skin makes every bit of physical exertion worth it.
