[Silent Suzuka cosplay] Umamusume: Pretty Derby Authentic Light and Shadow of Summer by the Beach

Incorporating styling ideas specific to Silent Suzuka from Umamusume: Pretty Derby, I completed the recreation of this seaside summer look. The main outfit features a cyan-blue gradient halter Summer swimsuit; the crisscross straps and waist cutouts beautifully accentuate body proportions, while the lightweight, airy fabric captures the gentle brush of the summer sea breeze. The wig features a vibrant orange-red shade, carefully styled into the signature look with blunt bangs and side braids, topped with plush, thick, and fluffy Animal ears with high structural accuracy.

For headwear, it was paired with white plumerias, blue flowers, yellow starfish, and pearl strands, layering island elements to further emphasize the vacation vibe. For makeup, large-diameter blue contact lenses were used first to accentuate the eyes, combined with pink eyeshadow and delicate eyeliner to give the gaze a dewy, lively look, while the fair foundation maintained the translucent clarity unique to 2D anime styling.

The shooting location was an open beach, utilizing the clean seawater, sand, and distant buoys in the background as a visual foundation. A wide-angle lens was used for this Seaside photoshoot to elongate body proportions, while natural lighting both contoured the figure and presented authentic skin textures. Because of the sea breeze on site, capturing the most natural expressions and flying hair strands required adjusting angles and postures numerous times, truly testing physical stamina and deepening my appreciation for the character's blend of quiet grace and vitality. In post-processing, subtle authentic skin textures and wind-induced fabric creases were preserved to avoid an overly retouched, artificial look, infusing the overall atmosphere with a genuine slice-of-life realism.
