The convention photos for this Vertin look have finally been organized after a short wait and are ready to share. The location for this shoot was chosen in a quieter indoor hallway at the anime convention; the cool grey tone of the background naturally brought a solemn and tranquil ambiance, fitting seamlessly with the short silver hair cosplay look and the overall vintage style outfit.

Speaking of this look, there are actually many details worth diving into. First is the short silver hair, where styling specifically created layers and thickness; paired with the black top hat accented by a light blue ribbon, the entire head silhouette appeared sharp yet elegant. For the costume, the main body is a long black coat with a striking light blue lining that visually breaks the monotony of black. A deep blue gemstone collar pin fastened at the neck adds a touch of delicacy to the ensemble. The cuffs feature Victorian-style white ruffles paired with black leather printed wrist guards, whose complex layering creates high recognizability even amidst the anime convention crowds.

For footwear, I chose black platform lace-up boots, which paired with trousers provided a grounded weight while elongating body proportions, giving a posture that feels tall and erect. The black-and-purple argyle pattern suitcase was an interesting prop; whether held in hand or placed beside my legs, it added a sense of vintage travel aesthetic to the frame.

Working with photographer WiFi went smoothly with great unspoken synergy. To convey the character's calm and slightly detached temperament, we experimented with various compositions. The shot sitting on the high stool looked dignified and poised, perfectly showcasing the complete silhouette of the attire. However, my personal favorite is actually the set where I sat on the floor over a white plush mat. The white mat and black boots created a striking contrast of light and dark, while the naturally extended sitting posture broke away from rigid correctness, rendering Vertin's composed and at-ease demeanor even more vividly. The photographer was truly dedicated, lying on the ground to repeatedly adjust camera angles for the best frame.

In post-processing, we retained fine airborne particles and light flare effects, which paired with the cold color grading to give the entire set a cinematic and dreamlike feel—as if truly standing in the middle of that chilly storm in Reverse: 1999. Vertin as a character possesses a unique charm: reserved, rational, and steadfast, unwavering before her surroundings. Every time I don this cosplay, I try to channel that grounded aura hidden within every gesture.

Though this photo set lacks bright, vibrant colors, the restrained palette of black, white, grey, and blue stands up remarkably well to close inspection. Organizing these photos brings back memories of the busy focus on that convention day—from wig styling and accessory fitting to on-site positioning, every tiny detail required repeated confirmation. People often see only the final images, but after experiencing the weight and details of this gear firsthand, one realizes that cosplay is not merely changing into an outfit, but an immersive expression of character temperament.
