[Vivian Cosplay] Bad Girlfriend Vibe in Zenless Zone Zero, This Umbrella Steals the Show Too

For Vivian cosplay in Zenless Zone Zero, this time I tried interpreting her from a naughty girlfriend perspective.
Many details were carefully adjusted during shooting, not just holding props for a pose, but truly feeling the character's demeanor and temperament.

The wig color is a light violet; the heat-resistant synthetic hair fibers are very smooth. To recreate that slightly messy, natural curl, I spent considerable time sculpting the curvature of the sideburns and hair tips. The Elf ear cosplay wasn't just stuck on either—I used skin-toned adhesive to carefully blend the edges so no flaws would show under close-up camera lenses.

For the top's white shirt, I used a draped cotton-blend material so that even under a heavy waist corset, the sleeves could maintain a degree of puffiness. The watery sleeve design at the cuffs adds an airy feel that contrasts with the overall sharp style. The deep blue bow tie at the neckline was structured with stiff lining to support the entire neck line nicely, with the purple gem brooch serving as a finishing touch.

As for the skirt part, the black corset is the soul of this outfit. Made from rigid matte leather fabric, the front metal zipper opens and closes smoothly, visibly tightening the waist and abdomen to silhouette a crisp waistline. The skirt hem adopts an asymmetrical patchwork design featuring not only a bold black-and-white color contrast but also laced with blue-gray tulle, creating distinct layers when walking.

As an accentuating pairing, the subtle sheer look of the Black tights outfit stands out remarkably against the pure white background. Using matte tights on my legs ensures zero light reflection, keeping the contrast between skin tone and clothing just right. On my feet, the platform high-heeled sandals feature interwoven black and blue webbing straps; the retro chunky heel design kept me from feeling overly tired after standing for half a day, thanks to the cushioning pads at the bottom.

The prop umbrella details were executed with great care; bird silhouettes and feather textures on the umbrella canopy appear distinct and layered under white lighting. This long umbrella handle isn't just decorative—during shooting, it served as a walking stick or support to adjust my center of gravity.

The overall makeup strategy this time leaned towards a cool porcelain skin tone, emphasizing depth around the eyes. Red contact lenses combined with dark eyeshadow highlighted an indifferent yet shrewd aura. Slightly lifting the corners of the lips or showing teeth conveyed that naughty, playful charm well—not overly forced, but carrying an innate aura.

During shooting, in addition to standing poses, sitting poses and low-angle shots heavily tested lens control. When sitting on the floor, I paid attention to knee direction and toe extension, guiding vision upward along leg lines. This composition magnifies the visual impact of the black corset and Black tights outfit, which, paired with the black umbrella in hand, makes the frame look full and balanced.

The lighting technician used softboxes for flat lighting, eliminating many shadows so that black clothing and the white background could maximize their contrast in layers without stray color interference, resulting in a remarkably clean color presentation.

The entire photo set took about five to six hours from styling to shooting. Maintaining smiles and facial expressions was genuinely exhausting, but looking at the finished photos, wearing that tight corset and platform shoes felt totally worth it. Honestly, cosplaying a character with this cool and imposing vibe allows one to briefly forget themselves and become completely immersed in the setting.

The moment I took off the outfit after shooting felt like a huge relief, yet that expressive state was deeply satisfying. I feel that to properly restore this type of character, beyond costume accuracy, studying facial expressions and demeanor is equally crucial. If there's an opportunity next time, perhaps I'll try another location to explore a different atmosphere in Anime cosplay sharing.
