[Anis cosplay] GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE Convention photos Log

Finally got the Convention photos of Anis cosplay from this comic con! Extensive preparation went into this look, from fabric selection to wig styling. Taking advantage of the great lighting at the convention venue today, I quickly grabbed my photographer to capture extra shots.

First, let's talk about the costume this time around. The bright yellow jacket on the outside is remarkably striking, and thanks to the venue's ample air conditioning, shooting for an extended period never felt stifling. Beneath it is a white cropped short-sleeve shirt paired with an orange-yellow plaid necktie. On the tie, I specifically pinned two small accessories—a pink cat paw and a yellow star—instantly dialing the detail level to the max. The drawstring at the waist and the black belt studded with star rivets were crucial to the overall silhouette, both securing the waistline and preventing shifting during dynamic posing. For the lower half, a vibrant yellow pleated skirt with subtle textured jacquard weaves allowed the pleats to flare naturally as I walked, yielding dynamic, effortless motion on camera.

Wig styling was definitely the most time-consuming phase. To ensure the cowlick ahoge and the yellow hair clip on one side looked organic rather than stiff, I used plenty of styling hairspray and carefully thinned out the inner layers. In terms of makeup, I focused heavily on enhancing the eyes, wearing light brown contact lenses paired with bolder eye makeup, striving to faithfully recreate the character's signature presence before the lens in this cosplay.

The ambient lighting at the convention was actually quite tricky; those rows of square ceiling fixtures, while bright, tended to cast harsh shadows across the face. Fortunately, we found a corner backed by massive windows where diffuse daylight was surprisingly soft and flattering. To ensure the leg contours appeared sleek and streamlined, I wore over-the-knee White stockings paired with beige and black color-blocked Mary Jane shoes. The visual clash between White stockings and the yellow skirt carried immense punch, though shooting required frequent readjustments of the stocking bands to keep them from slipping down.

Posing genuinely drained a lot of stamina, especially the poses seated on the floor. The flooring was rock-hard; dropping onto one knee required keeping my upper torso upright while balancing the natural drape of both the skirt and the jacket. A few times, vigorous movements caused the waist cord to loosen, forcing us to pause and retie it. Thankfully, the photographer was incredibly patient, constantly guiding my angles—prompting me to lift my gaze slightly or raise my hands higher, showcasing the midriff silhouette while giving the jacket sleeves room to stretch gracefully.

When capturing that pose in Photo 4, stretching my arms upward diagonally while shifting my center of gravity back made my whole posture feel wonderfully open, filling the frame with balanced composition. In Photo 6, sitting on the floor with both hands tapping the sides of my head was a serious test of abdominal and core stability, yet the contrast between White stockings and the yellow pleated skirt in the final cut was undeniably captivating. Wrapping up the entire set left my legs completely numb, but seeing the results on the preview screen made every bit of previous hardship worthwhile.

The ultimate charm of Convention photos lies in freezing these authentic, candid moments in time. Amidst the bustling crowds of the convention, while being watched can feel slightly bashful at times, meeting fellow fans and exchanging photography tips was pure joy. The overarching vibe this time was wonderfully relaxed, relying on natural and ambient lighting rather than overly intricate flash setups to cultivate a luminous, translucent feel.
