[Marisa Kirisame cosplay] Touhou Project's Ordinary Magician: The Perfect Pairing of Stars and Black-and-White - Image 1

Today's coordinate centers around an extension of Marisa Kirisame's classic black-and-white color scheme. Because Marisa's signature elements are so distinct—golden hair, a wide-brimmed hat, and a black-and-white dress—when selecting the costume, I deliberately chose a Lolita-style dress that blends lace trims with star motifs. The inner white lace high-neck base shirt features elaborate pleats, paired externally with a tailored black vest that cinches the waistline beautifully. The golden star patterns along the skirt hem catch the light brilliantly, perfectly echoing the magician's lore.

Styling the wig took a significant amount of effort. To make the blonde hair look as natural as possible, I spent a long time combing and setting it. Instead of leaving it completely down, I braided a section of hair on the left side of the frame while keeping large, loose waves on the right, which breaks the rigidness of symmetry and gives the overall look a more dynamic fluidity. The bangs are neatly trimmed, flattering the face shape wonderfully. The makeup emphasizes a doll-like feel, utilizing circle lenses with a prominent enlarging effect, deepened eye contours with a subtle winged eyeliner, and bean-paste-colored lip gloss, projecting a calm yet slightly mysterious temperament. The large hat is the soul of the styling: a black outer brim paired with a white pleated lining, layered with tiers of ruffles, instantly commanding attention the moment it's worn.

Material contrast in the costume was another key focus for me. The white lace base shirt brings an inherent soft-focus effect under the camera, while the black vest and skirt provide a grounding backdrop. The fine gold glitter and star patterns scattered across the skirt produce a delicate, shimmering effect under illumination. The brown belt around the waist not only accentuates the silhouette but also adds a warm transitional tone to the overall black-and-white pairing. In terms of accessories, the delicate beaded cross necklace around the neck and the colorful bead strands dangling from the skirt emit soft, gentle clinking sounds with movement, adding immense atmospheric charm.

During the shoot, I experimented with gently pinching the hat brim with one hand, tilting my head slightly while gazing directly into the camera. This pose gives the hands a natural placement and draws focus sharply to the eyes. In expression management, I avoided overly exaggerated smiles, opting instead for a serene, poised composure. The indoor solid-color background paired with even studio lighting clearly highlights the intricate lace textures and fabric details, keeping the photos clean and sharp. The entire styling and shooting process was essentially an exercise in reduction—stripping away redundant elements and locking the focus squarely onto the striking black-and-white contrast and star motifs, ensuring the final visual impact is captivatingly eye-catching.
