This Honor of Kings Xiao Qiao Cosplay photo set of \"Manga Sorceress\" is actually based on live Convention photos, brought to life through fine retouching and compositing by Meng Shiba. The reason I chose this photo to share as the main feature is that it beautifully integrates the original costume styling with the magic special effects added later, recreating that nimble yet slightly futuristic sci-fi vibe from the game.

For this Manga Sorceress appearance, the costume details were executed with great care. The main piece is a short white trench-style jacket accented with dark blue and purple streamlined color-blocking, giving a crisp silhouette that doesn't look bulky. The hair features a light blue-gray gradient wig cut into fluffy straight bangs, styled into double buns at the crown and topped with sparkly star hair ornaments. Leg styling is one of the key highlights: silky over-the-knee socks paired with dark thigh rings and white ankle boots visually lengthen leg lines, delivering both anime-style playfulness and an eye-catching focal point.

The core prop on set was this huge handheld game console model—hauling it around at the convention was definitely a true test of physical endurance! Positioned beside the console, using a magic wand alongside an asymmetrical high-low stance, I created a weightless illusion of floating among starlight. The green plush fairy beside me and the miniature version of myself below are playful, whimsical elements of this look. Combined with the rainbow aurora effects and scattered colorful starlight added by Meng Shiba during Cosplay post-processing, the originally flat convention photo instantly gained dreamy 3D depth.

Shooting this set at the busy convention venue was quite an ordeal with massive crowds and chaotic lighting. Thanks to the photographer's patience in framing precise angles to block out distracting crowds, the main subject turned out so clean. Although it's a composite edit, my posture, facial expression, and stability while holding props in this photo were genuine live performances on site. The angle of the magic wand and arm extension, once enhanced with lighting effects in post, created perfect leading lines to direct focus right into the center of the frame.

For cosplay works featuring special effect compositing, I believe adding post-effects isn't meant to mask flaws, but rather to elevate the overall ambiance of the photo itself. Meng Shiba handled light and shadow matching remarkably well during compositing—for instance, the radiance of the star-shaped crystal wand and surrounding flowing colors blended seamlessly with how light hit my costume on set. Realistic details like the console's bottom heat vents and side ports created a striking contrast with the surreal starry sky background, making the overall composition even richer in storytelling.

As a cosplayer who frequently attends conventions, this Manga Sorceress outfit left a deep impression on me. Before shooting, just styling the wig and putting on all those small accessories took a significant amount of time, as they easily slip off while walking around at the venue. But once the photo set came out and I saw how creators seamlessly merged real-world anime cosplay with virtual magic elements, every bit of hard work proved completely worthwhile. I hope to keep producing works with both solid live shooting foundations and stunning Cosplay post-processing aesthetics in the future, commemorating favorite characters in my own style through cosplay.
