[Hanayo Koizumi cosplay] Love Live! summer-color smile, energetic Hanayo on the water in the Summer Film

Actually, this set of photos is a Summer Film project shot with friends in the summer of 2024. The theme was decided early on, but I was once again assigned to Hanayo's role. To be honest, every time we team up to shoot LL, Hanayo's spot is always the hardest to fill, and most of the time it ends up being me filling in. Although I couldn't help shedding tears in my heart every time, I guess it's a kind of fate. Since I'm doing it, I'll try my best to restore her well.

Considering the summer theme, the location was chosen as a shallow water area in the suburbs. The weather on the shooting day was amazing; the sky was exceptionally blue, the clouds had great layers, and the water surface reflected the distant city skyline like a mirror. To match the summer coolness, the costume is the classic swim-suit live performance outfit, featuring a pink-and-white striped strapless top paired with a light blue short jacket, and the skirt hem has layers of pink-yellow gradient colors. The headwear is that highly recognizable large yellow bow, with an orange flower necklace around the neck, and orange circle bracelets on the wrists. The strappy shoes are actually a bit slippery when wet, so walking in the water requires extra care, and the core must be tightened to stand firm.

In terms of makeup, to fit Hanayo's sweet attributes, warm tones were used for the eyeshadow, blush was applied generously, and the wig was specially trimmed with layers to ensure a light floating feel when the breeze blows by the water. Shooting in the water is completely different from shooting in a studio; the water resistance is huge, and once the skirt gets wet, it sticks heavily to the legs, which greatly affects the extension of movements. To capture that light, jumping feeling, I tried stepping, kicking water, and standing on one leg in the water, constantly adjusting my center of gravity. The photographer also worked hard, half-squatting in the water to find angles just to capture the splashing water droplets.

I particularly like the composition of several photos standing on one leg and kicking water. The sunlight refracts through the water onto the legs, and the instant coolness seems to be transmitted through the screen. There is also the photo kneeling on both knees in the water; although the knees hitting the pool bottom were a bit hard, the posture of crossing hands on the legs, paired with a slightly tilted head looking at the lens, perfectly showcases Hanayo's unique temperament that is both energetic and a bit well-behaved. Actually, Hanayo is not just simply cute; she has a resilience of constantly striving for her dreams, so I hope the action design can showcase both her lively side and a gentle feeling.

I really like the overall color tone of this set of photos; it doesn't over-rely on post-processing color grading, basically retaining the original translucent feel of summer sunlight. The reflection on the water surface paired with the blue sky and white clouds makes the whole frame look very clean. Posting this set of photos right in winter can also be considered a visual coolness to contrast the reality's coldness, hoping everyone can feel the unreserved scorching heat of summer.
