[Xiao Wu cosplay] The Rabbit Spirit Maiden: NARAKA: BLADEPOINT and Soul Land Crossover

This time, I brought out the character Xiao Wu from the collaboration between NARAKA: BLADEPOINT and Soul Land. The pink-and-white outfit features an iridescent pearlescent finish that reflects gorgeous sheens under direct flash. The design of this costume accentuates the figure remarkably well; the high-low asymmetrical tulle skirt and daring high slit allow the leg lines to show beautifully during posing, while clear high-heeled sandals make the overall styling feel airy and subtly alluring. The set utilized sweeping white drapery and pearl garlands, complemented by silver reflective film on the floor to evoke a dreamy, fairy-tale forest ambiance that aligns perfectly with her 'cute little white rabbit' persona.

In terms of hair and makeup, long silver-white hair paired with pink floral hairpins and translucent holographic rabbit ears atop the head gave the character an ethereal charm. The golden motifs on the legs were applied with specialized tattoo stickers, and together with plush fur trims, added delicate layers of texture. During the shoot, using the white step stool on set proved to be an excellent compositional choice: sitting on the stool with legs crossed while reaching upward utilized the wide-angle lens to elongate leg proportions while leveraging the fluid drape of the skirt to heighten visual dynamics. Alternating between kneeling and seated poses was also tailored to capture her lively, coquettish charm.

I also personally took part in the post-retouching process. Since relatively hard lighting was used during the shoot, the specular bounce from the reflector boards made the pearlescent fabric look luminous. For color grading, we primarily lifted the specular highlights off the reflective film and balanced the overall brightness and contrast, ensuring translucent porcelain skin while preserving the pink-purple atmospheric tones of the surrounding floral sea. The cover photo, where I sit on the stool in an open, relaxed posture, highlights body curves while maintaining compositional balance.

The props and costume details were exceedingly rich and intricate to put on and take off; we had to take special care on set to keep the skirt hem and pearl strands from tangling. Although it is a crossover character, I strove to capture Xiao Wu's playful essence as a beloved Chinese anime goddess while blending in the martial arts spirit of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT. This photoset is truly one of my personal favorites among my cosplay works.
