These convention photos have finally met everyone. For this styling of the Deep Chamber Dance Play, preparation took a long time beforehand. The shooting location was chosen inside the exhibition hall of the anime convention, taking advantage of the venue's high ceiling top lights and reflective ground to create a cool and translucent sense of space.

Let's talk about this matching first. The red wig plus elf ears are very recognizable visually. The costume is a black modified sleeveless Qipao with a mandarin collar and golden frog buttons, while the black lace on the chest and the hollow-out straps on the waist sides add a bit of lightness. The skirt hem features an asymmetrical high slit with a very large golden dragon embroidered on the side. The lower wear is paired with black lace base shorts, semi-sheer Black stockings, and a pair of stockings decorated with garter belts, stepping on black glossy high heels. The prop is a black folding fan, which can not only serve as an extension of the movement but also enrich the hand postures during shooting.

The shooting equipment is an A7M5 paired with a 2870GM. Because it's an indoor convention environment, the lighting is relatively complex, so I deliberately set the aperture to F2, shutter to 160, and ISO 400. The large aperture can well strip away the messy background, making the subject more prominent; the 1/160 second shutter speed can freeze the moment of the fan swinging and leg lifting without blurring; ISO 400 can ensure a clean image under indoor lighting. The venue's top lights cast reflections on the grayish-white ground; utilizing this reflection, plus low-angle upward shooting or eye-level shooting, can elongate the leg proportions while balancing the lines of the whole body.

In terms of action design, I combined the fan to do some opening and closing, lifting, and shielding movements. For example, in the photo with one leg lifted, core tightening is needed to maintain balance, while cooperating with the photographer to control expressions; the gaze must carry the character's aura and cannot slack off. In the one sitting on the folding ladder with legs crossed, utilizing the naturally drooping lines of the skirt hem and the texture of the Black stockings, paired with the fan half-covering the face, it's easier to highlight the tailoring of the Qipao and leg lines. When the folding fan is unfolded, the contrast between the black fan ribs and the red hair is very obvious, and capturing snapshots during rotation and waving makes the actions appear much more vivid.

Shooting convention photos is actually more challenging than studio shoots because people are passing by at any time and the background is uncontrollable, but it is precisely this authentic anime convention atmosphere that gives the photos a lively sense of presence. For this styling, I also repeatedly practiced in actions and gazes, hoping to present the character's temperament that is both gorgeous and dangerous. From costume details to action design, and then to the coordination of camera parameters, every link requires concentration. The whole shooting process was tight, but seeing the final photos with light and shadow hitting the golden dragon embroidery, the outline of the fan half-covering the face, and the reflection of the Black stockings and high heels on the reflective ground, I feel all the preparations were well worth it.
