Shooting this Underwater theme set was actually quite a test of physical stamina. The set was decorated with abundant translucent sheer fabrics, pearlescent seashells, luminous jellyfish, and blue crystals, making the floor rather slick. To simulate the refractive shimmer of the deep ocean, the lighting technician specifically cast cool blue-purple light patterns, which we further enhanced in post-production to amplify the water ripple effect.
This dragon-girl pearl attire boasts intricate layering: the bodice splices white tulle with delicate lace, accented by a blue sapphire and tassels at the bust, while the skirt flows into an exquisite blue-to-pink gradient. The wide, trailing sleeves demanded the utmost attention; because the fabric was so featherlight, the slightest movement made them flutter uncontrollably or cling together. Each time I took my mark, the photographer had to wait several seconds for the sleeves to drape naturally before snapping the shutter.
Reclining inside the giant seashell prop for full-body shots required rigorous posture discipline—it had to look effortless and graceful while keeping the leg lines natural and eliminating any wardrobe slip risks. Additionally, because projected water ripple caustics played across my face, the base makeup had to remain exceptionally clear and translucent to preserve facial dimension. This cool-toned environment set high demands on expression management; the gaze needed to convey the profound, serene stillness of the deep sea.
The poses spanned leg lifts, resting the chin on hands, reaching toward floating jellyfish, and styling with the clear jellyfish cap. To highlight the garment's sheer perspective, reflector angles were continually adjusted to let light filter through the translucent fabrics in delicate layers. Immense thanks to 虾滑yummy for the wonderful support and to the photographer's sharp snapshot instincts, ultimately capturing this cool, ethereal, and dreamy Anime-style photography aesthetic to perfection.
