Portraying Albedo at the Zhongshan AS Comic Convention took over ten hours, starting from 6 AM makeup until evening wrap-up, making for a deeply fulfilling day. Bringing this character to life involved countless details. First was the pure white dress; the fabric was quite soft and prone to wrinkling, requiring thorough ironing beforehand, with each ruffle along the hem carefully pressed flat. The fine golden chains across the chest swayed easily while walking, so I anchored them at the lower back with safety pins to ensure clean drape. The white horns atop my head had to maintain their precise angle, and styling the cowlick on the purple-tinted wig took considerable sculpting to set firmly. Mounting the wings was the most taxing step—two large black feathered wings supported by a harness concentrated all the weight onto the waist, demanding extreme care when moving. To flatter body proportions, I wore a tightly laced corset along with matching high heels, leaving my feet genuinely sore by the end of the day. For makeup, vibrant golden contacts were accented with reddish eyeshadow diffused along the outer corners of the eyes, finished with a subtle nude lip. This styling sculpted strong dimensional contours under the venue's overhead lighting.
Strolling through the exhibition hall, having so many people recognize the character was delightful. Having worn this costume at prior conventions, I had refined my posture control: keeping arm positions graceful and calibrating delicate hand gestures. The feather wings caught the ambient lighting beautifully in the photos, and the photographer adjusted light angles to highlight the crisp contrast between fair skin and dark plumage. The white gloves were tricky to handle—prone to absorbing perspiration when taken off—so I took special care to keep them pristine. Beyond shooting, chatting with fellow fans about the series and sharing cosplay preparation techniques was wonderful. While the look appears dazzling, the backstage effort—from wig storage to detangling chains—leaves no room for carelessness. Overall, shooting at the Zhongshan AS Comic Convention was a fantastic experience backed by generous fan enthusiasm. The cool hall kept makeup intact without sweat ruining the base. Though maintaining the sweaty corset and gloves afterward takes careful cleaning to prevent yellowing, seeing how beautifully the outfit translated through the lens made every bit of effort completely worthwhile.
