The wig for this look was definitely a major project: a golden-yellow base with gradient ends, requiring deliberate styling to craft that upright ahoge at the front. The side-swept bun on top was secured with a hairpin, accented with silver hair clips on both sides, which needed constant tidying at the slightest movement. For makeup, I selected light green/blue cosmetic contact lenses to pair with reddish eye blending, covering a much wider area than everyday makeup. The purple diamond star mark in the center of the forehead was hand-drawn using gel eyeliner; thorough setting was crucial to prevent smudging.

The layers of the costume were far more intricate than expected, featuring a white, brown, and gold color scheme. The inner collar is a black chiffon base printed with golden patterns, layered under white satin fabric. The cutout at the chest actually features a layer of nude mesh, trimmed along the edges with golden feather-shaped embroidery and hand-sewn pearls. The structured brown shoulder pads are relatively rigid and required precise angle adjustments to keep the shoulders from appearing overly broad. Golden thread embroidery also runs along the shoulder straps and detachable sleeves. Around the waist are red knots and tassels that sway with the slightest motion. The trickiest parts were the assorted accessories: yellow plush trims and blue gradient streamers along the back and sides, alongside waist chains and leg garters. The high-slit skirt design made it easy to showcase leg lines when posing, though standing in heels with the garter strapped on grew slightly tiring. I wore black high heels to ground the overarching palette and visually elongate proportions.

For this full-body Mirror selfie, I deliberately placed one hand on my hip while holding the phone with the other, perfectly presenting both the chest cutout and waistline while catching the dimensional layers of the trailing streamers behind. For the lighting setup, a softbox from the side highlighted the fine detail of the golden thread embroidery while lending the skin a translucent glow. Because of the strong contrast between the yellow wig and the outfit, several tests were run beforehand to lock down exposure and white balance.

Dressing up for this Anime cosplay look took over an hour. From anchoring the wig and straightening every pearl and tassel on the garment to slipping into high heels, multiple angle checks were needed to ensure everything sat smoothly. While the preparation was intricate, striking the right pose before the lens and bringing out the essence of both the costume and character brought this Game cosplay shoot to a smooth completion. Balancing the visual weight and layering of this outfit ultimately relied on finding the right poses during the shoot.
