This shoot for Ishtar's maid outfit counts as one of my best-prepared sessions recently. The costume uses deep navy blue as the main body, spliced with plenty of white ruffles, and the layering of the hemline is highly prominent, spreading out like waves when walking. It indeed achieves that lightweight yet slightly gorgeous feel from the original artwork setting. What satisfies me most is the neckline decoration—the blue bow tie paired with that golden gemstone embellishment exactly restores the character's iconic elements.

The crown-like headpiece on the hair accessory is very eye-catching, but actually fixing it securely requires some thought, as I had to ensure it wouldn't tilt while striking various poses. The wig used long curls with massive volume, creating that flowing and fluffy effect, but it also meant spending a lot of time combing it before the shoot to avoid any frizziness. Once these accessories were worn, standing in front of the lens allowed the character's temperament to flow naturally.

The golden circular plate prop held in my hand during the shoot was an important accessory for the overall look. At first, it just felt heavy in my hand, but the photographer reminded me that I could use it as a visual guide. By adjusting its tilt angle and the strength of my wrists, coordinated with my body's standing posture, it made the composition of the whole frame much more stable and full. For example, when shooting those standing and sitting cuts, I intentionally let the prop and my body's center of gravity echo each other so it wouldn't look stiff.

This time we chose a minimalist white backdrop. I feel this kind of negative space is actually more helpful for character portrayal. Without a cluttered background distracting the view, the tailoring of the costume, the layers of light and shadow hitting the white skirt hem, and the facial expressions can all be presented more clearly. For works with complex styling like this, a clean setup often makes the visual focus more concentrated for this piece of Cosplay photography.

Some friends asked me before why I chose to shoot this maid outfit. It's mainly because I feel this 2D goddess's style is highly versatile in anime works, and the maid outfit gives her more approachability, while also challenging the portrayal of clothing with a bit of a gorgeous court style. Although she's a maid, she still retains that pride and majesty belonging to herself, which might be the interesting part of her character from Fate/Grand Order.

Slipping on a pair of golden high heels and tying the small blue bows around my ankles, the entire styling was finally complete. It can be said that throughout the entire shooting process, trying my best to showcase the character's confident yet playful side through adjusting poses and expressions was a highly interesting attempt and experience.
