[Tsukiyuki Miyako cosplay] Blue Archive, a summer beach even a typhoon can't stop

The sound of ocean waves is truly powerful, especially this time heading to the shore right on the fringe of an approaching typhoon—that feeling of wind wrapped in sea spray felt so vivid. It's rare to carve out time to visit this beach, so despite the unwelcoming weather, I still wanted to capture this summer-exclusive outfit moment properly.

Once the beach theme was decided, my immediate instinct was to wear this deep navy one-piece Summer swimsuit. The clean tailoring combined with white ruffled tulle across the shoulders creates a crisp, refreshing visual contrast. Although this weather was exceedingly unkind to wigs, and you can indeed see hair blown messy by gusts in the photos, this natural state actually added a casual, lively touch to the shots.

Walking across the shallows sporting that pale blue halo prop instantly immersed me in a beach vacation character mindset. As water lapped over my ankles, I could feel the authentic sea temperature. Later, when kicking up splashes on the sand, I wanted to see if we could capture dynamic, refreshing summer moments—even though my movements were a bit awkward while holding that transparent tote bag to keep my shoes from getting soaked, the entire process felt incredibly liberating.

The wooden gazebo with a thatched roof by the beach served as a fantastic framing spot. Sitting on the edge of the wooden planks looking back at the lens, sea breezes lifted hair strands while natural light fell gently across shoulders and swimwear, tuning the entire image tone into a clear, light blue-white palette. This was precisely the Beach photography atmosphere I envisioned. In truth, during shooting, the wind was strong enough to make standing difficult and blew hair completely out of shape, but these uncontrolled moments felt far more story-rich than staged posing.

Though shooting during a typhoon fringe is hard physical labor—guarding props against sea splash while constantly monitoring wind direction to maintain hair shape—seeing these frames captured in the viewfinder made every effort worthwhile. Soft lighting, rhythmic crashing waves, and swimwear designed to fit the summer atmosphere perfectly made this Cosplay sharing endeavor in a genuine natural environment feel infinitely more vivid than studio shoots.

To me, cosplay is not merely recreating a character's appearance, but experiencing a piece of their lifestyle. This beach outfit itself is very casual; walking in seawater, sitting on wooden benches, carrying a tote bag all convey a sense of ease and relaxation. When the shoot wrapped, my hair was a complete mess and sand clung to my legs, but that joyful feeling lingered. As for the typhoon and messy hair, they became the most vivid footnotes to this seaside adventure.
