[Ren Amamiya cosplay] Midnight street of P5R, embracing the city night with Futaba

Taking advantage of the slightly cooler late night in February, we chose this neon-filled street for a real test. Although the venue and prop preparations this time were slightly rough, and there is still much room for improvement in some clothing details and prop textures, the urban atmosphere belonging to Persona 5 Royal was still well captured.

As Ren Amamiya, this feeling of wandering in the night fits the character's personality perfectly. The core of this shoot actually lies in the interaction with Futaba; that "sense of reliance" is the soul of this set of works. Futaba's iconic slouched and frantic poses have to be precisely captured every time during restoration, and just a tiny deviation would almost make us break character. Finding that balance point in front of the lens really tested our mutual understanding, but seeing that faint yet visible bond in the final photos made it all feel very worthwhile.

From a photography perspective, the midnight street provided an excellent contrast, with the cool-toned background intertwining with the vibrant, warm-colored light and shadow on the characters, beautifully restoring the visual style of the game. Although it is a simple Street snap, I still hope to convey that unique "Phantom Thief" texture to everyone. Capturing that moment of urban loneliness and unspoken understanding on the intricate streets of light and shadow was our original intention for this creation. Although as a work released in February '25 it is still a bit immature, we are still constantly pursuing more delicate expressions. Looking forward to more perfect costumes, makeup, and props next time to present this story-filled moment to the absolute limit.
