[Amiya cosplay] Arknights Amiya Location Shoot: Wanting Both Close-Ups and Full-Body Bunny Shots

The outdoor location shoot for Amiya is finally complete! We chose a sunlit garden with white wooden trellises and lush greenery; the natural dappled sunlight filtering through the foliage was exceptionally suited for an outdoor session. This blue-and-white gingham dress paired with a white pinafore apron features rich tailoring details: the red striped bow tie at the chest and tiered ruffled cuffs required meticulous smoothing before the lens to capture the finest fabric texture. The animal ears perched on top were securely anchored, with their height and tilt fine-tuned multiple times. Styling the wig took considerable patience—shaping the twin tails to drape with an organic curve while trimming the bangs just enough to keep the gaze clear.

For props, I prepared a wooden tray carrying a croissant and a pastel pink slushie beverage, along with an illustrated throw pillow. Holding the tray under direct sunlight made the colors of the dessert glisten beautifully, so we immediately snapped several close-up frames. Later, hugging the cushion for full-body compositions felt wonderfully natural, offering relaxed hand placement and easing my posture into an effortless state.

When selecting images to post, I constantly debated between close-ups and full-body bunny shots: close-ups showcase intricate wardrobe accents, delicate facial makeup, and the vibrant palette of the pastries and drink, while full-body angles showcase the coordination of white stockings with dark loafers, as well as the flared, breezy ambiance of the skirt. Ultimately, I decided to share both perspectives so everyone can appreciate the shoot from diverse angles.

Lighting is always the greatest test during a location shoot. The sun was quite bright that day, so we sought shaded spots and leveraged dappled sunlight through tree leaves to enrich visual depth. To flatter leg lines before the camera, I angled my stance slightly, shifting my center of gravity to the rear leg for an elongated silhouette. The stark contrast between the white stockings and dark uniform loafers added a sense of buoyant lightness to every step. To capture movement in stride, I walked back and forth repeatedly until catching that crisp frame where the skirt hem naturally billowed mid-step. With the tray shots, keeping balanced without letting my arms obstruct costume nuances required trying various postures to look steady, natural, and poised.

This attire looked remarkably crisp and refreshing under the sun, where the blue gingham and white apron created delightful visual layers. During styling breaks between takes, I noticed the lace and pleats creased easily, so every sit-down rest required carefully spreading out the skirt. Toward the afternoon, as the daylight softened, we captured backlit frames where the sunbeams piercing through the wig strands looked breathtaking.

Though physically tiring and sweaty, seeing the final selects made every bit of effort worthwhile. I adore this scenery, wardrobe, and prop setup, and I did my best to channel the character's gentle, quietly adorable presence.
