This official cosplay photos set of Ryuge Kisaki from Blue Archive is finally meeting everyone. To present the cold glamour and dominance of the Shanyin Gate Director, I specially booked a Cosplay white studio for this shoot. I put a lot of effort into the details of the overall costume and styling during the preliminary preparation. The wig was selected in a dark blue with natural gloss, trimmed with blunt bangs, and tied into two high buns on both sides of the head, paired with blue butterfly hair accessories, trying my best to restore the character's unique 2D texture.
In terms of clothing, this dark blue modified cheongsam is the focus. The fabric has exquisite hidden patterns, the golden dragon embroidery on the chest is very eye-catching, and the frog buttons use cyan-blue, creating a small color contrast. To increase the layering and visual tension of the frame, I matched it with a wide striped shawl coat. The lower body chose black ultra-shorts and sheer Black stockings, stepping on a pair of red-bottomed stiletto high heels. These shoes are truly artifact-level items for boosting aura, especially when showcasing leg lines and the high-split cheongsam, the combination of Black stockings and red-bottomed shoes can instantly max out the atmosphere.
Shooting this set of Cosplay white studio official photos, we tried to keep a relatively cool tone in lighting, which can better echo the character's cold and mysterious temperament, while also preventing the dark blue clothes from appearing dull. For the first panoramic photo, I designed a dynamic posture standing on one leg. The right hand holds a black-and-red long gun prop, and the left hand carries a black square briefcase. This action actually has quite high requirements for balance and core strength. To maintain the tension of the action while controlling the split amplitude of the cheongsam to showcase the Black stockings and leg lines, I repeatedly adjusted my center of gravity. How the gun is held is also very particular; it shouldn't look too heavy, nor weightless, requiring the strength of the wrist to control it, paired with a cold gaze to show that effortless feeling.
The second half-body close-up focuses more on the expression of demeanor. Fingers gloved and gently touching the lips, this action was designed to add a sense of dangerous temptation. For the facial makeup, I deliberately intensified the red-toned eyeshadow and eyeliner, trying to bring a hint of wicked charm into the coldness. When shooting such close-ups, the focus of the gaze is very important; looking directly at the lens can enhance the sense of interaction with the audience. The shawl sliding down to both sides of the shoulders can also well reveal the neckline and shoulder lines of the cheongsam.
The entire shooting process went very smoothly, thanks to the careful polishing of costumes and props beforehand. Actually, Cosplay is not just as simple as putting on clothes; how to convey the character's experiences and personality through body language and gaze is the homework that needs constant adjustment in front of the lens. This time, I made many attempts in controlling the strength of actions and displaying costume details, and I am also very happy to present this set of official photos.
