This time, I challenged the Little Devil look of Kasane Teto. In alignment with the Halloween theme, I put quite some thought into the scenes and props. The red drill spirals paired with black lace and ruffles, along with the cross choker around the neck and the little pumpkin charm at the waist—the overall red-and-black color blocking perfectly fits the festive atmosphere. To add a touch of playfulness, the skirt hem features a large area of layered design with ribbons on both the front and back, creating wonderful dynamic lines whether walking or kneeling. During the shoot, we specially chose an environment with a vintage red velvet sofa and a European-style background. Props like a crystal chandelier, wooden barrels, and jack-o'-lanterns built a dark fairy tale texture.
This costume actually hides many details, such as the hollow-out back and the ruffled cuffs, which reveal a sense of layering when turning around or raising an arm. The makeup enhanced the red-brown blending of the eye makeup, paired with red contact lenses, attempting to recreate the character's temperament with a hint of Little Devil attributes. This time I wore platform Martin boots, which actually heavily tested the placement of leg lines during the shoot—especially in postures like raising a leg or kneeling as shown in the photos, where the angle of the boot soles needed adjustment to make the overall visual center of gravity more stable. Additionally, using that giant jack-o'-lantern as a foreground or handheld prop can both enrich the image colors and block parts of the lens edges to generate a sense of space.
This set of photos leans warm from styling to lighting, aiming to convey that slightly mysterious yet playful feeling of a Halloween night. Kasane Teto's own character style goes very well with this kind of outfit that carries slight Gothic and rock elements, so leather chokers and metal chains were used as accessories to neutralize the sweetness of the dress itself. During the shooting process, I tried quite a few actions, such as half-lying on the sofa, kneeling on one knee, and holding a jack-o'-lantern to make a grabbing motion, with each pose adjusted for the center of gravity according to the depth of the scene. Looking at the final photos, I feel everyone worked incredibly hard to recreate that atmosphere. The overall completion is very high, and I am also very grateful for the on-site prop layout, which made the Little Devil image stand out even more in this piece of Halloween cosplay creation through Cosplay photography.
