[Judy cosplay] Being a Bunny Cop for a Day in the Zootopia Themed Area

After changing into the bunny police officer uniform, I first scouted for the best low-angle perspective in front of the castle. The weather in Tokyo today was crisp and clear with relatively harsh light, so I deliberately stood at an angle, stretching one leg forward to elongate leg lines while holding up the carrot prop to block the piercing sunlight. The fabric of this costume is structured and crisp; the tactical vest is quite thick and durable without worrying about creasing midway, and the leather pouch at the waist has great drape. Since the character setting is a police officer, I intentionally dialed back overly cutesy poses, opting instead for capable standing postures and determined eye expressions. The dark blue cargo pants paired with knee pads made walking around the park extremely comfortable compared to wearing stockings and high heels, eliminating worries about restricted mobility.

After moving indoors to a room in the afternoon, the light softened, and I began experimenting with mirror selfies. The room's vintage wallpaper and carpeting formed an eclectic, crossover ambiance with this modern uniform. For mirror selfies, hand positioning needs careful adjustment—one hand on the hip, the other holding the phone covering part of the face—which showcases full-body proportions without letting facial expressions get washed out by mirror reflections. Indoor lighting also better accentuated fabric details, such as the metallic sheen of the police badge and the belt buckle, details easily overlooked from afar that look richly textured in close-up shots.

In terms of styling, the long braid was secured very firmly so it wouldn't unravel when walking or bending down. Paired with fluffy bunny ears, the overall silhouette was very striking. For makeup, I specifically deepened eye contours, because under direct outdoor sunlight, lighter eye makeup easily gets washed out on camera, making one look tired. When shooting, we took care to avoid peak crowds, pacing around the side of the castle and the entrance to press the shutter during brief pauses in foot traffic. The carrot prop played a vital role throughout the shoot, its vibrant orange and green colors popping brilliantly against the primary blue and black palette.

Although the gear is somewhat thick, the tailored fit hugs the body well, and the knee pad straps don't slip easily, allowing me to freely execute turns and salutes. Despite some fatigue toward the end, I was very satisfied with the resulting photos. From wide-angle compositions of grand outdoor scenes to using mirrors indoors to flatter body proportions, this outfit maintained great visual recognition across different lighting conditions. Today's photo set at Disney captured both the grandeur of outdoor scenery and the cozy atmosphere of indoor spaces, making the entire shoot feel relaxed and natural.
