[Azur Lane Cosplay] Guangzhou Anime Journey Two-Day Itinerary: Live Convention Updates of Unicorn and Judy

These two days at the Guangzhou Anime Journey National ACG IP City Tour were practically packing two completely distinct characters into a single dense weekend. On March 28, I put on Judy's police uniform, and on March 29, I transformed into Unicorn. The final photos for both outfits turned out unexpectedly well, giving me a completely fresh perspective on this Guangzhou Anime Convention experience.

First, let's talk about the Judy cosplay look on March 28. This blue-and-black police uniform skirt outfit is meticulously crafted; the tie paired with the tactical gear bags at the waist beautifully restores that lively yet capable anime temperament. The absolute highlights among the props are definitely the black toy pistol and the rabbit-eared police hat on my head. To capture a sense of dynamic movement, I opted for a pose where I knelt on one knee, holding up the gun while glancing back. Although doing this movement in a skirt requires some core strength, the photographer snapped it precisely. The skirt hem fanned out naturally with the motion, perfectly revealing the white stockings and black leather shoes, making the overall frame appear incredibly agile. This street-snap style, paired with the bright orange arched gateway in the background, delivers a powerful visual impact. It was exceptionally photogenic in the outdoor area of the Guangdong Digital Culture Valley, and the sunlight was just right.

On the second day, the style completely flipped as I changed into the Unicorn Cosplay. This is a pure white formal dress, paired with a headpiece decorated with white flowers, a lace neckline, and long white gloves. To align with the character's signature gentleness and dreamlike aura, I specifically chose an indoor piano scene for the shoot. The white piano, white flower bouquets, and cool-toned lighting combined to create a highly tranquil atmosphere. The prop Unicorn plush toy served as the core of this look; when holding it, my posture naturally became much softer. The combination of white stockings and white high heels offered an excellent sense of visual extension for the overall look, and the sitting posture on the piano stool beautifully showcased both the folds of the dress hem and the lines of my legs.

My biggest takeaway from these two days on-site was that the weather and lighting at the convention can actually be highly volatile. To maintain my best state, I woke up very early in the morning to finish my makeup and hair styling. Within the exhibition zone of the Guangdong Digital Culture Valley, the doujin booths and interactive areas were arranged quite compactly. I ran into many photographers and fellow friends who came to visit the exhibition; everyone was incredibly friendly, and we would exchange angle suggestions during the shoot. Although walking around for two days in high heels was admittedly exhausting, seeing everyone like these two looks and experiencing the sense of accomplishment from presenting the character states perfectly in front of the lens felt immensely fulfilling.

This was also my first time portraying different characters back-to-back on two consecutive days at the same convention. Preparing the costumes and props in advance was honestly a bit rushed, but I am extremely satisfied with the final result. The two looks respectively represent two distinct styles: lively and playful versus serene and elegant. Being able to master these two completely different art styles serves as an excellent practical test of my personal cosplay experience. This Guangzhou Anime Journey National ACG IP City Tour left a wonderful impression on me\u2014the venue is massive and the surrounding facilities are highly complete. I hope to have more opportunities to come back here to attend conventions in the future.
