[Elysia Cosplay] Realm of Created Memories in Honkai Impact 3rd: The Flawless Pink-haired elf Descends Elegantly

The Elysia Cosplay photoshoot themed around the Realm of Created Memories took a lot of thought from early preparation to final shooting. This black dress styling with pink elf ears is my tentative expression of this character from Honkai Impact 3rd.

First, let's talk about the costume's detailed design. It discards the complex, voluminous palace-style skirts, opting instead for a tighter black halter neck off-the-shoulder design. The fine gold trim along the edges serves as a brilliant visual highlight. This silhouette beautifully accentuates the lines of the shoulders, neck, and collarbones, achieving a clean balance between luxury and sharpness when paired with a casual metal chain. The violet interior lining fabric is another clever choice; hidden on the inside of the skirt, it reveals a glimpse of deep purple when sitting naturally or lifting the hem, lending a subtle layer of hidden depth to the solemn black exterior. The black lace gloves on the arms coordinate perfectly with the dress, their semi-transparent material echoing the character's dual nature of being both mysterious and innocent. At the ankle, a tiny purple silk flower was deliberately added as an embellishment, resonating with the tone of the interior lining to complete the structural cohesion of details.

Makeup-wise, to emphasize the character's fairy-tale fantasy element as a Pink-haired elf, I wore light-pink clip-in hair extensions and pointed elf ears. The eye makeup focused primarily on the blue colored contacts and the sharp delineation of the eyeliner, aiming to keep the gaze exceptionally clear and spirited even under the low-saturation pink ambient light. The lip color utilized a natural pale pink, preventing heavy makeup from disrupting the overall lightweight, airy atmosphere.

The set design for this shoot was absolutely crucial. The studio featured large areas of pale-pink walls as its baseline, with a white European-style archway made of frosted textured glass positioned right in the center of the background, looking elegant and solemn. On both sides of the archway, two white pedestals covered in dark-red velvet cloths were placed symmetrically, with a petite white angel sculpture standing atop each. To heighten the warmth of the environment, I placed cream-white pillar candles beside the sculptures, which seamlessly blended with the surrounding set to forge a tranquil ceremonial sense akin to a sacred sanctuary or a fairy-tale garden. The floral decorations on the ground were even richer; massive clusters of pink and pure white blossoms packed the foreground of the frame, paired with black flower pots to create a powerful visual anchor against the character's black gown.

Regarding the control of photographic lighting, I opted for an expansive soft-light treatment supplemented by a subtle pink-toned ambient fill. Although this lighting setup is soft, it brilliantly captures the faint luster of the black velvet fabric while preventing harsh, rigid shadows on the subject's face, lending the skin a fair, translucent texture. The black glossy block-heel shoes on my feet also reflected delicate highlights under this soft illumination, amplifying the overall refinement of the frame. During the shoot, we experimented with a reclining posture, a frontal sitting posture, a mid-shot close-up lifting the hem, and finally, a full-body standing pose holding up a black scabbard. That pose of raising the prop was primarily intended to weave a touch of a warrior's exclusive aura into the elegance.

The entire photo set spans a variety of camera angles, ranging from close-ups to full-body cuts, and transitions from quietly sitting in soft lighting to dynamic postures of being ready to draw a bow, striving to capture the rich emotions of the character within specific scenes. The integration of the venue's layout and the costume props not only fulfilled my imagination regarding the Realm of Created Memories theme but also allowed me to familiarize myself with presenting the garment's absolute best state under specific lighting distributions through repeated adjustments. While compiling this collection, I re-examined the inner details and believe this set objectively restores the unique charm of the character where aesthetic beauty and profound depth intertwine.
