[Elysia Cosplay] Honkai Impact 3rd: The Pink Elf in Spring Blossoms

A lot of thought went into the styling and makeup for this Elysia Cosplay from preparation to shooting. The wig was a layered pink style with gradient ends, gently styled with a curling iron and fixed with hairspray so it wouldn't get messy in the breeze. I paired it with pointed elf ear prosthetics, which flattered my face shape and matched the character's dreamy vibe. I chose clear purple-pink contact lenses, complemented by eye makeup highlighting the lower lashes and aegyo sal to make my eyes look deeper and more expressive. The outfit was a lightweight red-and-white dress with glossy red roses and detailed heart ornaments on the chest. It cinched tightly at the waist, and the layered ruffled hemline paired with patterned sheer Stockings created a great leg-lengthening effect and added texture to the look. To reflect the character's charm, I wore white lace gloves and gold-trimmed arm accessories.

Because I love the atmosphere of blossoms under natural lighting, we chose a sunny afternoon to shoot under the trees. Around 3 or 4 PM, sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating beautiful dappled light on my outfit. We started with a few close-ups; I held a crystal prism, adjusting its angle to refract rainbow halos while focusing my gaze on the crystal's edge for a dreamy effect. Later, we composed shots with flower branches, using blossoms to partially frame my face and adjusting my hand positions to make the poses feel natural. To convey the character's lightness, I tried various poses, leaning slightly forward or turning to the side so the skirt and hair could catch the breeze. The photographer did an excellent job capturing details, such as the fluttering hair, the dress, and the graceful lines of the neck and shoulders.

Halfway through, the warm weather became tiring, so I rested in the shade, touched up my makeup, and had some water. For the full-body Cosplay photos, I shifted my weight onto one leg and extended the other slightly forward to flatter the leg lines alongside the mid-length hemline. Outdoor photography naturally brings encounters with passersby. I was a bit self-conscious at first, but I soon immersed myself in the character, focusing on expressions and poses while ignoring the surrounding glances. During breaks, the photographer showed me preview shots to help me adjust my angles and light placement. For the post-processing style, I preferred preserving the natural light texture without excessive editing, only slightly boosting brightness and saturation so the pink hair and red dress looked translucent against the refreshing floral scenery. Also, because the sheer Stockings were delicate, I had to be careful not to snag them when walking or sitting on the grass. Post-processing mainly balanced the skin tones and background colors to unify the soft pink and red-white tones. Although the shoot was exhausting, seeing the final Cosplay photos made it completely worthwhile.
