This summer Swimsuit Sangonomiya Kokomi cosplay was an outdoor set captured upon popular request. Pre-shoot preparation involved referencing Kokomi's character lore in Genshin Impact; to channel her gentle, dignified wisdom, makeup focused heavily on the eyes alongside the pink-to-blue gradient wig. Wearing purple-pink circle lenses with adjusted eyeshadow blending created a dewy, luminous 2D aesthetic. The swimsuit features a blue-and-white gradient adorned with delicate water-ripple patterns; the navy bow at the chest and side cutout straps were tricky elements requiring constant repositioning for a snug fit. Water reflections across the swimming pool were intense, demanding precise light control. Initial frames suffered from uneven lighting across the face and body, but resetting the camera angles and reflector bounce helped us capture balanced oblique rim-light before sunset.
Staged at a water park where midday to afternoon sunlight was harsh, we avoided blinding glare by framing most compositions in shallow edge pools or beneath shaded railings. For instance, reclining in profile along the pool edge stretched the silhouette gracefully while ensuring blurred background slides and lush foliage didn't distract from the focal subject. Post-processing focused solely on evening out skin tones and refining wig fiber definition, avoiding exaggerated liquifying to retain authentic textural presence. Although it is a swimsuit shoot, thorough precautions like waterproof tape ensured wardrobe security. Navigating the slick, wet surroundings was tricky, and the crew worked tirelessly on safety and assistance. I hope this collection conveys the distinct summer vitality and breezy refreshment of this beloved Genshin Impact heroine.
