Getting straight to the point, from 12:50 PM to 4:00 PM on September 6, I will take on the role of Genshin Impact's Arlecchino as the One-day store manager at the LG1 Center Stage of Nanjing Pengxin Aqua City. The look featured on this poster was shot specifically for the DIY merch contest, focusing on creating an imposing presence and precise character accuracy. When shooting these photos, the red backdrop in the studio was deliberately chosen because Arlecchino's primary visual elements consist of black, white, and red; a red background makes the palette pop and accentuates the sharp lines of the leather pants and coat. In terms of styling, the dividing line of the black-and-white wig was intentionally styled at an asymmetrical angle, which, paired with the upturned eyeliner makeup, visually captures that lethal, chilling aura in front of the lens. I requested harder lighting during the shoot to better bring out the texture of the costume materials.
Preparing for a Nanjing offline event is actually more tedious than producing photos, because as a One-day store manager, beyond standing on stage, the priority is interacting with visiting Travelers and guiding everyone through the DIY merch-making activity. Many might be unfamiliar with this process: it simply involves using portable photo printers on-site to quickly create customized merchandise of your favorite characters. I will be sharing composition tips—such as how to crop images for optimal clarity, or how to use stickers and borders to create holographic laser effects—drawing from the experience I've gathered in my everyday cosplay hobby.
The costume is indeed quite heavy, especially with the sharp shoulder elements and leather pants restricting crouching or turning, so I will need to adjust my walking gait to preserve the character's signature elegance. Rather than merely posing in place, I hope everyone visiting Aqua City genuinely feels welcomed. The afternoon schedule is packed, but I have reserved dedicated time for photos and meet-ups, eagerly awaiting your arrival.
As a Nanjing offline event, Aqua City's accessible location offers a great opportunity to connect face-to-face with fellow cosplayers and Travelers across the region. Stepping out in this Arlecchino cosplay brings immense excitement. Imagine walking through the mall in full regalia; passing children and onlookers might not recognize the character, but that is precisely the magic of an offline event—bringing a 2D persona into the 3D world.
I will work closely with the organizers regarding on-site safety protocols. On September 6 at the Aqua City LG1 Center Stage, I will do my absolute best in this role as your One-day store manager. Although the meetup lasts only around three hours, I will cherish every single friend who comes out to support. Feel free to bring your favorite merch to trade, or check out my new goods. Even though it stems from a 2D image, once brought into reality, the warmth and palpable connection cannot be replicated by screens or photos—come experience it in person!
