[Arona Cosplay] Blue Archive 3rd Anniversary: Changing into a Robe to Relax on the Bed

This time I shot a Casual cosplay set of Blue Archive Arona in a cozy home-style setting, focusing on a comfortable, relaxing rest atmosphere. To match the lazy mood under the covers, I specifically chose short light blue hair with subtle pink highlights at the tips for the hairstyle—a highly recognizable feature of Blue Archive Arona. The big white rabbit-ear bow on top and the floating blue halo serve as absolute highlight touches; with them present, even wearing oversized everyday anime-style fashion garments immediately projects the authentic character vibe from the game world. In terms of outfit, I didn't deliberately chase a complex uniform recreation, selecting instead a loose beige long-sleeved top to serve as cozy loungewear home pajamas, maxing out comfort.

The shooting location was set in a bedroom with light-colored wooden floors, featuring a clean, pure white bedsheet paired with light grey pillows, keeping the backdrop free of cluttered colors for a crisp, bright aesthetic. For lighting, diffuse high-key light sources were intentionally used to render soft, translucent image textures while avoiding harsh shadows, creating a clear, sunlit afternoon room atmosphere. A tripod set up at the foot of the bed was used to adjust camera angles; catching a tiny edge of the black bracket in frame actually added a grounded sense of authentic documentary recording.

The pose concept was straightforward, adopting a prone position lying on the bed. The upper body rested chin on crossed arms, facing the camera naturally with a focused yet cozy gaze. My legs naturally bent backward and lifted slightly—a very relaxed body language that breaks the stiffness of conventional standing poses, infusing the photos with everyday spirit and playfulness. During filming, there was a touch of candid spontaneity, especially with bare feet relaxing naturally outside the sheets, looking exceptionally homey and casual.

Coincidentally, on the day of this shoot, I experienced an event-filled gacha summoning session in-game. Although that phrase about pulling 120 times with orange lights, Kisaki, plus five 3-stars sounds like a tongue twister, it reflects genuine player experiences filled with both rising blood pressure and joy that only fellow gamers understand. Getting tired after pulling gacha, lying on the bed sparked this thought: why not embody Arona myself and relax with everyone during such a cozy moment? Arona usually works hard guiding everyone within the system, but on weekends or special milestones like the Blue Archive 3rd Anniversary, she deserves a quiet moment to rest too.

In post-processing, I kept edits restrained without complex color grading. Building upon high-key lighting, I subtly brightened facial light areas and hair strand contours, highlighting light blue transparency and softening skin tones. The finished photos retained raw wood grain and bedsheet textures, anchoring that crisp, bright casual cosplay feel. Compared to hard-core combat or flashy visual effects, scenes of snuggling under blankets with a halo to rest pull us closer to players emotionally.
