Bringing out Ibuki-nyan for ComiCup Day 1! After an intense afternoon of roaming around the venue, I finally have a moment to sit down and share my thoughts on this cosplay outfit and my overall experience at the convention. My legs are completely dead, but seeing all the love and feedback for this Tanga Ibuki cosplay from Blue Archive made every single step worth it.

Since I was cosplaying Tanga Ibuki this time, I did a lot of prep work to do her justice. First was her iconic blonde twin-tail wig. To make it look fluffy and natural while keeping her playful, cute charm, I put a lot of effort into styling the hair accessory placement and the hair ends. Combined with the gold badge and pink-and-white ribbon on her cap, the headpiece was quite a bit heavier than a standard wig. Luckily, after half a day of walking around, it barely budged and stayed incredibly secure.

Featuring white piping, red cuffs, and gold stars printed on the sleeves, it delivers a massive visual impact. Although it was quite warm outside, the air conditioning inside the exhibition halls was blasting, making this coat my ultimate lifesaver against the cold. For the inner layer, I chose a dark blue sailor-collar dress. The red bow at the collar matches perfectly with the red sleeves of the coat. Figure 2 was taken when my feet were completely sore, so I sat right down on the marble floor. It's a bit more relaxed, but it showcases the details of my legs and boots perfectly. Plus, holding the plush toy gives off that effortless, cozy daily vibe of a high schooler.

In terms of my posing and photography style, I tried my best to capture her signature vibe. Since Ibuki is a curious, positive, and cheerful girl in the Blue Archive lore, I made sure my poses stayed relaxed, natural, and highly approachable. Even though I was carrying a huge bag and taking photos with my phone, the captured moments still turned out very natural.

Honestly, the most exhausting part of an anime cosplay isn't how heavy the clothes are, but maintaining high energy and keeping in character every single time you face a camera in a massive crowd. I was on the move constantly this afternoon with almost no rest, grabbing sips of water whenever I could. But when I sorted through the photos and saw myself in the mirror overlapping with the character, I felt incredibly moved.
