[Barbara Cosplay] Healing Seaside Moments from Genshin Impact

1-2-3- Jump! The moment frozen by the shutter perfectly matched the clean, crisp atmosphere of the seaside. It was actually quite windy at the shoot, but precisely because of the wind, the wig strands and the sheer edges of the skirt could present such an airy, dynamic feel. The outfit brought out for this shoot was a summer sailor-style swimsuit set, dominated by a blue-and-white color palette, which, paired with the pale golden wig, looked exceptionally translucent under the sunny backlight.

I was very satisfied with the wig's texture this time—it had moderate volume, fluffiness, and didn't easily lose its original curls in the ocean breeze. The white flower hair ornament and blue-and-white bow on top of the head served as brightening details for the overall look, echoing the sailor collar's palette seamlessly to create a refreshing vibe perfectly suited for the Summer beach. The garment features a two-piece design; the off-the-shoulder cut is both cool and showcases shoulder-neck lines, while the sleeves are detachable and separate. The white cuffs with blue borders are adorned with small gold star decorations, which add major points in close-up shots. The gold bow at the neckline acts as a visual center of this outfit, and together with matching rivet decorations on the choker, it retains iconic school-style elements of a Sailor suit outfit while adding a touch of sophistication.

As for props, the bright yellow duck plushie and the duck bag slung across my body were the defining touches of this styling. The vibrant yellow popped out brilliantly against the solid blue backdrop and light-colored outfit, injecting lively layers into the composition. The accompanying blue-and-white striped inflatable lifebuoy was not only a practical item for swimming, but also served as a great staggered support point for sitting poses on the beach. The white thick-soled sailor shoes were also very interesting; their lace-up design and gold/silver star decorations matched the overall refreshing summer elements effortlessly, which, paired with white leg rings, visually stretched the leg lines nicely.

During the shoot, I actually had to continuously adjust my standing position according to the rolling waves. We chose a relatively gentle beach where the distant horizon sat right around waist height, making wide landscape shots feel remarkably expansive. The first jumping shot was actually attempted several times; because the sand was soft, maintaining body stability and skirt fluffiness after jumping really tested core strength. The third posture with one hand and one foot raised is my personal favorite—the open-arm stance looks very playful, and combined with a pouting expression, it brought out that sunny, vibrant energy completely.

When shooting sitting poses, gently extending my feet onto the beach allowed the thigh straps and shoe laces to create a lovely visual extension. Actually, the most important thing to watch out for during a seaside shoot is sand protection: sand grains sticking to shoe soles or props must be cleaned off immediately, or the texture in close-up shots will be severely compromised. However, under such vast ocean scenery and bright sunlight, all attention to detail was well worth it. Overall, this Barbara Cosplay styling achieved high completeness, displaying unique camera language whether running, jumping, or sitting quietly. This was one of the most enjoyable sets combining water and shore elements I've shot recently, and I look forward to heading to the beach again next time to experiment with different lighting atmospheres.
