[Shirasu Azusa cosplay] Refreshing Summer Swimsuit Charm of Blue Archive - Image 1

The photoshoot for this Blue Archive Shirasu Azusa swimsuit look is wrapped, and the overall result met expectations, perfectly matching that energetic and refreshing summer vibe. During the pre-production stage, the biggest challenge of this outfit was combining the ruffled tailoring with transparent materials. Since this is a swimsuit cosplay, a large area of semi-transparent white tulle was used on the outer layer to showcase the character's light and dynamic nature. During the shoot, we took advantage of the sun's backlighting to let the translucent texture of the tulle shine through, enhancing the image's clarity and airy feel. The platform sandals are also a highlight of this look—the blue straps and ribbon details are delicate and complement the hair accessories nicely. The white feathered wings prop on the back was heavier than expected, and we adjusted the harness angles several times so it wouldn't look awkward. For makeup, the focus was on a pinkish-purple eye look, highlighting the under-eye area with shimmery eyeshadow so the eyes would stay expressive even in high-angle overhead shots. Blush was applied higher up right beneath the eyes to emphasize a youthful, girlish vibe. The wig is straight white long hair with layered side bangs that catch the light beautifully under backlighting. To optimize leg lines during the shoot, we tried several sitting poses, finally settling on bending and raising one leg while keeping the other naturally straight, with an arm raised high to stretch the overall body proportions. While physically demanding, this pose yielded the most ideal photos. The studio's beach sand was very fine and felt realistic underfoot. To complement the white fishing net and red lifebuoy props in the background, we also arranged nearby green plants, a blue-and-white checkered picnic mat, a blue water gun, and a drink bottle with a straw. These props greatly enhanced the shots, adding narrative depth and interactivity whether casually held or placed near the feet. For the Cosplay photography, the photographer used high-angle overhead shots to enhance visual tension while capturing the natural drape of the skirt. As for lighting, the direct light was very harsh that day, so we shot under side-backlight to express the lightness of the tulle. In post-processing, I raised the overall exposure while compressing the highlights to preserve delicate skin texture. The color temperature was adjusted to be slightly warmer so the blue-and-white outfit blended seamlessly with the sunny beach background, avoiding a cheap filter look. Because the outfit has multiple layers, I smoothed out the tulle skirt every few sets to prevent wrinkling and bunching. Although the whole process was a bit tiring, through props and emotional expression, the summer vitality of Shirasu Azusa was fully captured. If you like beach-style cosplay, this combination of sheer elements and platform shoes produces stunning photos, and I highly recommend trying it out.
