This time, I am sharing a self-styled version of Yae Miko. Instead of a rigid reproduction exactly following the original game design, I made some design choices for the outfit that better fit my personal interpretation, while retaining the character's iconic pink hair, fox ears, and Genshin Impact Vision elements. For example, the outer tulle robe is paired with subtle cherry blossom patterns, the inner top features black mesh with embroidered edging, along with velvet sleeves and thin chain decorations on the legs, making the overall structural layering much stronger. The drape of the sleeves when walking and sitting is also ideal. Regarding accessories, the golden hair crown, the lustrous purple earrings, and the tassel pendant on the chest all echo Miko's luxurious yet ethereal temperament in the details.

This shoot was conducted in an indoor set with a strong Japanese style feel. Sliding paper doors and cascading cherry blossom branches create the shadow of the Grand Narukami Shrine, using a red-and-white gradient oil-paper umbrella, a Japanese-style low table, and a sake pot as props to fill the frame. The props prepared were quite abundant, such as the red folding fan held in the picture, the long slender black pipe, and that small transparent cup used for sake. Holding these items helps me get into the character's zone more naturally. The shots interacting with a cat were also a unique arrangement for this shoot, bringing a bit of a relaxed daily feel into a serious setting, which fits well with her personality of loving to tease small animals and mortals.

The character Yae Miko herself carries an effortless composure. This time, I tried to remove some of the sharp sense of distance, adding more gentle gazes and micro-expressions. For the makeup, I chose a peach-pink toned eyeshadow with natural eyelashes, and the lip color is also a daily style, making the overall look more approachable. Under different angles, whether half-hidden behind the fan or turning sideways with lowered brows, it's all about capturing that casualness and confidence. This cosplay process from costume fitting to the final completion of the shoot indeed took a lot of thought, but fortunately, the final result is satisfying. The essence of fan creation lies in integrating your own understanding, giving this love for the 2D world a touch of warmth.
