This photoshoot for Chien Wu cosplay chose a red-and-black Gothic style cosplay aesthetic, paired with a dark throne, withered branches, and roses to completely elevate the atmosphere. The photographer handled light and shadow with precision; side lighting falling across my face and the cobweb embroidery on the skirt hem made textures stand out distinctly in this dark portrait photography shoot.
To recreate this look for studio cosplay, the wig underwent asymmetrical layered trimming, and the white feather headpiece was repositioned repeatedly. Fortunately, the final result was very close to expectations. The golden cobweb patterns on the garment and oversized feather sleeves are major highlights, paired with lace over-the-knee socks and a red leg ring to create rich visual depth.
We also explored various possibilities in posing—whether lazily leaning on the throne while playing with props or looking back to display the backless tailoring lines—hoping to convey the character's elegant yet slightly dangerous vibe. The whole process went smoothly; special thanks to the team for their hard work in bringing so many details to life perfectly.
