[Seed cosplay] White-and-Gray Techwear Style from Zenless Zone Zero: Bringing Along the Scooter Prop

I took a set of Convention photo shots for Seed at the anime expo venue, quickly snapping several pictures while the lighting was optimal. From the moment I received this costume, I was contemplating how to convey the character's nimble yet tech-infused presence, and looking at the results now, it matched expectations wonderfully. The dominant white hue of the garment paired with black lining and gray paneling looks exceptionally crisp, yet it is packed with intricate details. The semi-translucent fabric on the upper body and the color-blocked black sections enrich the overall layering, while the orange side drawstrings and metallic buckles brighten the entire palette to prevent monotony. The rigid black choker with a metal ring at the neck, combined with that silver cross hairpiece, firmly locks down the character's signature visual identifiers. The wig is styled as short, fluffy curls in a pale mint-blue tone; a slight breeze at the convention created a very natural flow, and the hairpiece on top was secured firmly without shifting. For makeup, focus was placed on the eyes: the emerald green contact lenses appeared remarkably luminous under strong lighting, which, paired with clean base makeup, complemented this cool-toned Techwear cosplay gear perfectly.

This time, I specially prepared the cane and scooter base props, which proved to be genuinely interesting accessories. The cane features a white shaft and a black handle; once connected to wheels at the base, it instantly transforms into a mobility tool that saved substantial energy when walking around the venue. Leaning on it while standing naturally lent my posture an effortless composure. When capturing the second close-up, I raised one hand to lightly shield my forehead while stretching the other forward, creating a dynamic visual flow alongside the vertical line of the cane. The third full-body shot features me stepping on the scooter with my center of gravity slightly forward—a stance demanding decent balance control, but one that perfectly showcased the cut of the legwear: white compression leggings adorned with black rectangular color blocks and orange straps, sculpting the lines of the calves and knees crisply. Most distinctive is the cutout design around the ankles revealing the toes and heels; the barefoot visual touch adds an unconventional edge. Although walking on the venue floor was a bit cold, it was completely worthwhile for the finished shots.

The ambient lighting on-site was fantastic: direct afternoon sunlight streamed in from the side with sharp contrast, casting strong light-and-shadow definition across the white costume, while floor tile reflections clearly traced my silhouette. The blue service counter and dark pillars in the background created a subtle warm-and-cool contrast within a predominantly cool palette, harmonizing with Seed's calm, sharp personality in Zenless Zone Zero. Working with the photographer went smoothly; he captured candid moments with great precision, such as that reaching gesture which showcased the tactical feel of the gear without appearing forced. Reviewing the photos afterward, the white balance and exposure were handled well—the skin tone didn't look washed out under bright light, retaining a natural, healthy glow. Although the convention was crowded and noisy, finding this relatively open corner to shoot wasn't easy, but the resulting texture in this Anime-style photography session was deeply satisfying. Posing with props integrated into the outfit proved far richer than static standing. If I cosplay this character again next time, I might experiment with more dynamic action poses or choose an outdoor concrete setting to emphasize that futuristic cyberpunk aesthetic. Overall, this Convention photo shoot serves as a complete record for the character, faithfully recreating elements from the official design from the wig down to the smallest accessories.
